This is not shaping up to be a super good development year for Jiricek.

So a concussion maybe? Hopefully not though. He was absolutely rocked and got a concussion about a year ago in the Extraliga as well.


Hopefully he’s alright and we can get more details in the coming days.

Availability is not one of Jiricek's stronger abilities. He's racking up quite the list of injuries without even nearing the start of his pro career. If he did just suffer another concussion that's a bit worrying. Not saying he's the next Erik Foley, but you can only take so many big hits before your career is ended for you. Hopefully he's feeling better quickly and this setback is minor.

I hope whoever laid the hit is suspended. Hard to tell on the video but it looked like a hit to the head on a player who never got possession of the puck. Just a super dangerous play.

Especially after he missed all of last year as well, this a very worrying turn of events. Hope he can bounce back rather quickly.
