Yes, this is what I’ve read about him. Most say he’ll play the perimeter but will get inside if he sees an opportunity. Someone mentioned he’ll hit a growth spurt like Otto. He certainly has the offensive talent to go high. Their younger brother is regarded as a talented offensive defenseman. Maybe the Blues can score their own Hughes Bros-lite duo or trio.

Elite prospects has him listed at 5'11 and 170 lbs. For a 17 y/o, that's not big, but tiny is overstating things. Concerns about his size seem unfounded. Thomas is listed as 6'0 and 187 lbs on his elite prospects page (unsure if that's current or an older entry).
Ivar should have no difficulty adding 10-20 lbs of muscle with strength and conditioning training to achieve a reasonable playing weight even if he doesn't grow any more.
He's going to be among the oldest players available in the 2026 draft, as his Sept 30th birthday is a few weeks after the Sept 15th cutoff for the 2025 draft. There will be plenty of opportunity to scout him and see his development progress before his name is called in 2026.

Regarding Thomas: it's definitely an older entry.
His NHL.com page has him at 207, and I've seen him as high as 218.
Pronman: "Team USA finalized their roster for the tournament The most notable decision was releasing Rangers 2024 first-round pick E.J. Emery. Emery is a big, mobile defender who is a stopper, so what was notable is they kept two other 2024 draftees in Adam Kleber (Sabres) and Colin Ralph (Blues) who could fill a similar role. Ralph’s progression in particular has been notable this season."
Ralph is also a 2005 DOB. He is one of the older players in the draft so not a shock to see him added over Emery who will be eligible to play next year. Now Kleber on the other hand... is a 2006 so maybe EJ hasn't progressed as much as either player.

Glad Ralph made it. Them expanding rosters from 23 to 25 likely helped. Hopefully he actually plays but I’d guess he’s currently slotted as either the #7 or #8 d-man.

Really do hope Ralph gets to play. I'd like an extended viewing of him in a format like this where it's high end teammates and high end opponents to see what he can actually be.
Liked the pick a lot at the time, hard to quantify how well he's doing stat watching only in his current situation in college.
I don't think it's dire that he becomes an NHL level d man for the Blues to get to where they would like to be, but it certainly wouldn't help if they produce a 6'5 guy on the backend who can play a shutdown role.

Yeah rosters expanding to 25 this year definitely helped. I’m sure playing in the WJSS helped as well.
Fingers crossed he gets a chance to play some real minutes, would love to see what Ralph has got against top competition!

Still a little sad we traded P. Fischer. Think he has a legit shot at making the NHL, albeit likely in a bottom pairing role.
Curious to see how he shows at the WJC this year.
He’s definitely a promising player, probably even more so than some other guys we’ve taken a few rounds earlier recently. But… you deal from a position of depth, and we have 500 LHD. It was also entirely worth it for what the return was.

Has anybody thats been following the Thunderbirds know how Alexandrov has looked this year? He has 13 points in 15 games. I think he’s still injured but was curious if he could be a 3c option this year for the Blues? @PerryTurnbullfan any insight would be greatly appreciated!
