Throwing him on with Parayko under the same usage that Parayko had would be a recipe for disaster, and it's just the opposite of what Edmonton did with him. To me, you either put him with Faulk and give that pair more offensive minutes or you put him with Kessel and they get more of a balanced/defensive leaning minutes. I think I'd start with Faulk, where that pair gets significant minutes, but also relatively sheltered, so that Broberg has room to see what he has offensively and make mistakes without fear of being destroyed by the opponents top lines.

Best case scenario, he's able to take over for Leddy next season or the following season, but lets start with just giving him consistent minutes on his natural side.
I'd like to see him with Faulk for next couple years and then as he gets more established and Faulk recedes he can partner with JIricek. Lindstein I see sliding into Leddy spot next to Parayko. And yes, this assumes that each of the 3 continues to progress towards being at least quality top 4d, which is far from guaranteed but if they are lesser players then these roles may be optimistic and we need to find our top 4d elsewhere.

Yeah, best case scenario Broberg quickly develops and Parayko doesn't decline and they can be vets to lean on when Lindstein and Jiricek come up.

Same here. I want to see him grow into that role this year. Keep him there and let him gain the confidence he needs.
I’m in the try him with both Faulk and Kessel and see which pairing works better camp.

And try all of Suter, Peru, POJ and I suppose Tucker too with the 2 righties as well to see what all works best.

Leddy-Parayko is probably pretty locked in but I’m open to whatever works. It’d be nice if we could have 3 pairings we could trust in almost any situation and not have to continually hide/shelter guys anymore.

Probably Ellis or Koromyslov. If Ellis repeats what he did last season, he'll be viewed as someone with legitimate NHL future, at least as a backup. Koromyslov will finally get decent minutes at the KHL level, so if he performs well, he'll shoot up the rankings.

Kos and Jecho. They have a ton of runway to jump up, and they’ll do so if they exceed offensive expectations

Not in raw number of spots he moves up, but I think the thing that would change the complexion of our prospect pool the most is if Jiricek has a dominant first season in the OHL.

I am going with Stancl. I think he really takes off at the WJC and starts to get fans excited.

I would have gone with P Fischer, but he has moved on.

I’d agree with this. He’s key to our pool strength.

Based on pure number of spots, it’d have to be someone further down the list. I’ll guess one of Ralph, Burns or Kos.

I guess I view Pekarcik as already made that jump up the rankings. I don't see him closing the gap with Stenberg.

I'd also agree with those that argue Lindstein or Jiricek if they have a big year and look like a better bet to be top pair or #1 quality.

It's because he makes the team out of camp and plays 70+ games (disqualifying him from the list) isn't it?

Biggest jump for me is going to be Kaskimaki. I have a sneaky suspicion he ends up being a quality depth NHLer.

Money take: Paul Fischer will be in his team's top 10 next year. I'd bet on it.
