Well, Johansen would never happen; for anyone to suggest it would they would have to be a bit delusional. I'm with you in that I wouldn't trade Jenner or Wennberg either. Having said that; if for some odd reason they were to move him and we took him I doubt any of those assets would be included. I don't, necessarily, think any of those assets would be required to close the deal.

I wouldn't let any of those "reports" or suggestions from other teams cloud your view on a Kesler deal.

Jenner would probably be the only one considered, but I doubt they would pull the trigger. Especially if it contained additional assets beyond Jenner.

I guess that is my point though. That is all I have really been saying all along, so why are people getting so worked up over me not wanting to trade for Kesler? :)

Don't forget - Kesler also went to Ohio State. Bringing back a big time local product for the stretch run sure could go along way to appeasing fans who got their season ticket prices jacked up.

No one forgets that. I, however, don't think anyone is going to spend money to go to a Blue Jackets game, because they traded for a guy who played at Ohio State.

Speak for yourself. I go to every game David Steckel plays in Columbus.

I would trade Kerby Rychel, Atkinson and our 1st for Kesler. Our top nine would be pretty damn good.

Jenner-Johansen-Horton
Umberger-Anisimov-Gaborik
Foligno-Kesler-Dubinsky
Calvert-MacKenzie-Letestu

That's a lineup you could definitely roll four lines. Has skill, speed and shut teams down.

Come on. Umberger-Kesler-Dubinsky would be the most most fun to watch line in the NHL.

I'd call that the Red Ass line. That's if you could keep Umby and Kesler from fighting each other. Umberger wouldn't be able to keep up with those guys. Foligno would be a perfect match in my book.

not for positives reasons...

If loving hot-headed antics is wrong, I don't want to be right.

Would Umberger and Kes be able to let by gones be by gones? Would love Wennberg on the Canucks. CBJ would be a sleeper for sure with Kes.

RJ and Kesler are grown ass men. If they can't get past something that happened a decade ago for the sake of the team then **** 'em.

For the record I'm in favor of going after Kesler. I like his game. But I see no reason to sell the farm.

By the way, Gillis has never been a quality for quantity person.

If he has a price, he'll go find it - and it'll be quality.

I don't think you'll get away with some quantity for kesler offer.

Schneider for Horvat
Hodgson for Kassian
Waiting out Luongo for his price, and then not getting it tho.

To me, all signs point to him wanting his price. If all we're getting is atkinson coming back as a main piece, I believe there's 10 teams who will one-up that quite easily - and I like atkinson.
