I agree but that second year will probably make him impossible to trade. Especially with this shitty numbers

I don't think a 7 game sample size where he's put up fine numbers will really do much to impact his value. It's not like he's out there tanking and hurting the team. He's just pretty mid, which is what he's paid to do.

Guess which goalie is going to get sent down
One of them did play only 2 games so let's see if the work he put in with wbs worked first.

Because while Jarry was a tire fire, even he wasn't as bad as Ned with high danger shots.

Hoping Bloomer is the real deal and not a Ty Conklin. Conk had a sick run tho
Murray is more the cautionary tale. He gave us 2 insane years and then holy f*** did it go to shit. I'm still scarred from the insane hope I had in him being our first elite goalie.

Then it was Gustavsson and they traded him so we had Jarry, but I still wish we never dealt Gus. I was pissed Sullivan f***ing caused that trade to happen because of his micro dick energy with Cole and Reaves and needing Big Game Ass.

Just to add: Blomqvist is elite at reading the play. I think the f***er watches video and studies and takes his game seriously. So that’s pretty cool.
He really trusts his positioning in high danger moments too. That five-hole save he made late spoke to that. He fully commits to his choice, stays compact and becomes like a rock..
That's what Price did. There's no panic or 2nd guessing there.

Yeah I'm very impressed at his ability to read the play so far. He's making difficult saves look easy because he's reading the play so well that he gets into position ahead of time.

That said, Blomqvist also battles his f-ing ass off which I love to see in a goalie as well. When he does need to flash the athleticism or make a second effort on the save, he's got the ability to do it.

TJ stopped 15 of 19 shots in his final WBS start so I'd say he's definitely ready to go. :sarcasm:

(sorry HOG I had to )
Yeah Phantoms are ass and that was a rough game for him. But it's the Amerks tomorrow so hopefully he's in that one to see if his ass can refocus like he used to be able to after a bad game.

The most impressive save of the night for me was the one that came out into the slot to Wilson. Blomqvist aggressively came out to the top of his crease to cut down the angle and give Wilson nothing to shoot at.

A lot of even NHL goalies wouldn't have had the balls or the anticipation to try to make that save there. A lot of guys would have stayed on their line in a panic.

It'd be amazing if we found our own elite goalie. Rangers and Isles pulled ones out of their ass with Shesterkin and Sorokin. If Blomqvist could develop into an elite or even just above average goalie that could make the rebuild a whole lot easier.

Oh I didn't want to post the whole thing, pointless when the only good goalie in that trio is Joel and he's more than passed the analytics and eye test with his game. The other two are just trying to one up each other on who's less ass.

Haase said that it was the final game of his conditioning stint so I think he'll just be back up with the NHL club now.

Would be f-ing weird to send Blomqvist down after the game he just had but idk what else they're gonna do unless they intend to carry three goalies.

Imo you waive Ned and just keep him up with the team. "Recall" him when he needs to play. Id be shocked if he got claimed.

Anything seems better than sending down a kid who is giving this team a badly needed injection of life but sending him down is also the easiest thing to do so they'll probably do it.

If they're trying to win games then he should be staying up. Ned isn't playing that well and TJ obviously lost the net before. I don't object to giving TJ another chance but Blomqvist shouldn't be the one paying the price for that to happen.

I'm just mentioning it cuz almost nobody here knows how to resize things. Everyone posts default images, even if they take up multiple screen lengths.
I didn't realize you could do this for the first few years either. Cuz when you paste images, you won't see the little draggable corners until you tap on it again, and one will only find that out by chance.

I need that cry react. Bloomer is the truth
I’m on two minds about Blom…he’s our best goalie, but first, he needs to play more than just b2bs, second, he has high shots and covering the puck to work on, those are his weaknesses, and third, I don’t want him “ruined” by Sullivan’s shitty D lol….so I’m actually ok if they send him back

When Boldy hadn't exploded yet, I suggested Pens should trade Jake for him because there was no way Jake was gonna stay, it was obvious even back then.

Each time I see the Wild and see Boldy, what an insane trade that could have been.

Rumor is TJ bought a place in Wilkes barre.

Source: I dreamt it
Imo, TJ is less ass than Letang.

Letang should spend more time at his place in Montreal and with the Habs.

I think they can carry a third until one of the players comes back from injury. I'm guessing someone will go on IR or Nieto still is and allows them to or if they still need to it depends on what he hear tomorrow with Hayes and Glass.

Personally if Jack isn't an issue on waivers , I send him down to keep Shea up to keep all 3 goalies for now. Ned though, he's been terrible. He is also off his game almost as bad as Jarry.

Rutherford drafted Blomqvist. Kinda miss that crazy old coot
At least he worked, yeah. I miss that ambitious mindset in the front office.
Say what you will about Rutherford, but the guy really wanted to win. The only time he was accepting of crap was when he signed JJ, and he only did that to help a player he drafted out of a financial bind after his parents screwed him.

In the last season or two this team has been weirdly good on second games of back to back, considering how old it is and how bad it is at, you know, winning hockey games in general.
