This is cringe... my God.

Can people who don't rap please stop f***ing doing these cultural appropriation raps? My god. You never see these knobheads trying to bust out a sick choral rendition, or a jazz number. It's always rap, and its always f***ing shit. If you're going to rap you need rhythm, and 99.9% of the people who attempt to do this, don't have any rhythm or concept and understanding of syllable counts. And they always have the worst, most generic cat-bat-rat-mat kindergarten level lyrics. f*** off.

I think they were going for awful, but yes, it’s hard to listen to that ancient style of rap from 1982.

I mean 80s rap has its place, especially if the rappers are talented and understand structure. But this stuff is so grating to me, especially a life-long hip hop fan and someone who has been and continues to be involved in producing hip hop music.

It's easier to pretend to do rap than it is to actually sing. Bad rap sounds bad, but bad jazz/singing sounds godawful.

It was grating in the Police Academy movies hahaha. These bad imitations of one of the basic root styles of rap was already tiresome by the mid 80s - it’s just the one kind of rapping that anyone can even come close to pulling off, so everyone did. I don’t keep up with hip-hop the way I used to way back but one of my best friends who I used to DJ with keeps me in the loop with his yearly best of playlists. Cheers and go Avs.

Its absolute shite, but gotta remember that its just an idea by some dumbass media team member. And I don't usually agree about cultural appropriation, but I'm confident that the marketing genius who came up with this did it precisely to try to appeal to those demographics.

Adams is useless. Grier isn't much better.
I was a bit harsh on him at first but he appears to have them on the right track. Time will tell but he gets credit for parlaying a reclamation project in Blackwood for a good return.

Conversely I was initially high on Adams but have since soured on him.

It’s nice that you don’t take this too seriously. 😬😅

Glad that our GM is making moves to prepare us to be playoff and competitive ready. What other position of need we need to fill out? 5-6 dman, 3rd line winger? Looks like we are almost ready to compete.

Despite going to a shit team, at this stage in his career, Kovy might actually appreciate the trade. Probably get some solid minutes there and the Sharks can afford to let him make mistakes and learn, while here, that will keep you in the bench.

He went from the Avs’ 4th line to San Jose’s 4th line.

Played 9 minutes in his first game on the bottom line with Sturm and Dellandrea.

We will see if it gets any better.

I am torn about when Drouin comes back. He’s really only usable in the top 6, and he’s a great match with Mac, but Colton is on fire this year as a winger, I don’t really want to take HIM out of the top 6.

Was also his first game. That will try him out in other roles once he gets accustomed.

I think Drouin showed last year his style of play isn't top six or nothing. He became a very reliable defensive forward.

That said, he'll be stapled to 29 if he ever returns from death.
