First time in NHL history a team has traded both of their goalies before Christmas.

The last time a team traded both goalies in a season was 2014-2015 (the team that did it escapes me at the moment).

That should be notable for CMac's critics.

I'm not totally happy with the direction of the team, specifically the defense, but he's being aggressive to fix their problems at least.

Oh but the awesome part of that night was balanced out by meeting Tori Spelling. And I saw the man from another place at a Lynch movie, either Lost Highway or Mulholland Drive, can’t remember which. LA, man.

No, you just ignore you!

And Tori Spelling LOL, my god. What a cool story.

Yep, he's in Mulholland Drive!!

It was a weird night, I met her because a friend and bandmate was in a play with her and they were having their wrap party there - I thought he was joking when he asked if I wanted to meet her or else I’d have said no thanks haha. The next place we went to there was this wanna be comedian who was in a lot of commercials at the time who knew my other friend and it turned out he was from a rival Minnesota school. Go Avs!

He took over a dumpster fire and within a few years has one of the best prospect pools in the league. Whether he's the guy that can finish the rebuild and get us back to the playoffs remains to be seen, but he cleaned up our cap situation and has us moving in the right direction.
Glad you are happy. He has roots in an organization (Buffalo) that has consistently been recognized for having one of the best talent pools. So he knows how to do that. The rest of the job?

We will have to wait and see.

So...I imagine it's always a shock to a player to hear he's been traded. But do you think it's a bigger kick in the nuts to find you've been traded along with Georgiev to a team?
It's worse than that because if Georgiev plays well Kovy isn't traded (at least not now).

So he's traded with him and because of him.

You will probably see this rebuild fail and have to restart another keeping Celebrini for the next of course. Rebuilds in general only work in small instances, it isn't a guarantee just look at the Leafs lol
It's possible. I can't see the future. But also, this is an Avs board, not a Sharks board and I don't want to take things too far off-topic.

Good points. Maybe Grier also thinks he can flip Georgiev for assets at the deadline too if Georgiev plays well in SJ the next couple of months. His caphit is effectively under $3m now and if SJ retain 50% he'd be available at ~$1.5m at the TDL as a backup with playoff starter experience.
Sharks have no retention slots left for this year.
