We objectively have one of the better offenses in the league, even w an ice cold offense right now and an ice cold Timo and too many shutouts all year

There’s room for improvement, but most teams outside of Edmonton would trade our offense for theirs

Yes because the PP has been out of this world. We're 19th in 5v5 GF/60. That's not good enough.

I'm getting more worried about depth scoring and how other teams are playing us 5v5 when even and our ability to break that. But they aren't long term worries. Would like to see someone from the bottom 6 score a f***ing goal.

We definitely need another top 9 forward that we can plug up or down the lineup.

That and Lazar coming back should in theory help open things up

Fitz is too much of a gent to make a trade before the holidays but in January, all bets are off. A C/W FO and 40-50pt prowess would be nice and the push down should help the 4th line.

19th is definitely not good enough. 2nd in xGF 5v5 and 5th in xGF/60 5v5 is encouraging though. Shows me a team that's playing poorly, you just hope it starts going in again.

They essentially have a playoff spot locket up and are right there with the Caps and Canes. There is no need to make a move until the deadline for Cap and price reasons.

Not when talking about my original point which is concerns about not winning games.

With regard to points percentage we are at .64, but being satisfied with that whole ignoring WINS is that you more or less have to have a 23% OTL contribution to your losses the rest of the way to maintain the gap. I’m not willing to make that assumption.

TLDR: we have to WIN more games.

We definitely want more wins but P% is more important.

41-0-41 is a 50% win %

It's also 123 points and a 75% P%

Devils have the 4th best wins per game in regulation. Other teams are getting to overtime more.

The problem we have is line depth and I hope Fitz is on the phone.

I said recently that I do expect them to not stay down at 19 because of how much they're creating but I also just wouldn't be surprised if we're a team that doesn't score up to expected.

True, but I’m going by the Fitz hates TDL deals, but I get the cap ramifications.

I don’t know why they keep going so wide, nothing up the middle. That third line just meets to throw it in front of and drive to the net.
