While that's true, I still expect more against an opponent like the Hawks. We're supposed to be passed this.

I'm expecting a big 3rd though so not too worried.

Meh, not really. They really play to their competition this year. That being said, they probably deserved way better in this game than they have, the powerplay is f***ing them over the last couple of games

I can tell you live what you already know- that was a complete garbage period of hockey. Boys need to wake up. Not good.

I don't understand how he didn't play the Leafs game, who are one of the few teams who ice a goon.

But then he magically ends up in the next two games?

Jack got hit in Leafs game so shit goon gets into line-up.

We won so we keep the same line-up.

Hopefully this guy sucking and making the 4th line suck today will make an impression.

That’s the part I head scratch on. We have enough talent around the lineup on F /and/ D to get 3-4 goals per game.

Some guys are just not quite consistent enough

I don't think we have as much talent as people think we do beyond the stars.

Who else did we have available to play? Our depth is shallow.
Tatar, who has been the healthy scratch for him for two games now.....

Keefe confirmed Tatar was a healthy scratch because he wanted to get MacDermid in. I thought early on that it was Tatar sitting out for whatever he did to himself last week.

Dominating games and losing because the offense can't score has been a trademark for Keefe for a while.

The issue with this game is it's just another instance of getting the better of the play but having nooooooo f***ing finish.
Frankly over all these games they generate relatively few grade A chances. It’s a lot of slop that looks good on the box score, but doesn’t lend itself to actually scoring goals.

Other teams seem to manage to make their slop go in against us.

Oh you're going by win percentage. Points % is more important.
Not when talking about my original point which is concerns about not winning games.

With regard to points percentage we are at .64, but being satisfied with that whole ignoring WINS is that you more or less have to have a 23% OTL contribution to your losses the rest of the way to maintain the gap. I’m not willing to make that assumption.

TLDR: we have to WIN more games.
