You heard it here folks, Carey price is holding this team back.

Its not the end of the world. Hes entitled to off games like any other player. In close games, you need your #1 to keep you in the game and on the second goal he was weak. Tonight Crawford is doing his job and showing why hes #1 goalie on his team. A bit more than price has showed so far.

I'd rather play Martinsen over King

It might, indeed, coming down to dressing one OR the other come playoff time. Not sure if I'd have Martinsen grind out most of the remainder to keep King fresher for playoffs, or use these last few games to try to whip King into shape.

Lol it's funny how people are still trying to pin this on Price. Every goal is under a microscope regardless of quality. The odd softie is going to happen to any goaltender, but there's been no softies tonight. This team has to finish their scoring chances or there'll be nothing left in the tank come playoff time due to chasing the game every single night and not being able to win in regulation.

Same story year in year out. Lack of finish. Can't hit the net. Can't pass. Can't shoot. Lack of creativity. :help:

The deprogramming cycle will take quite a bit longer. Therrien pounded uncreative hockey into these guys for years.

I just think Martinsen showed more than King so far. He needs to play now and worry about playoffs when they come imo.

I'm liking Davidson tonight. Liked his game in Vancouver and so far tonight, I think he's solid. The problem is the wrong defenseman was told to give him his spot.

The Leafs, who came off a lottery season and are supposed to be rebuilding are gonna finish the year with 6 forwards with 50+ points. Us, who are supposed to be in our prime and smack dab middle of our contending "window" are gonna have...2.

I would like to sell my bridge to those who think we're contenders.

No one cares
It doesn't help the offense when Montreal bobbles the puck every 2 seconds. Hawks control the puck on their sticks very well, while with Montreal it always seems to be a bouncing puck or they can't get it to settle.

We have to bust ass just to score one.

It is called lack of skill. Skilled players realize that patience creates opportunities, we lack it and often rush things or shoot or pass at the wrong time, lack of skill and instinct. The Hawks also are owning the center of the ice but we are concentrating on the boards, it's no wonder that we have a hard time scoring.

Sad thing is he's actually in shape. You'll not getting more. His skillset is just not compatible with our needs.

Shouldn't be surprised that a good coach will give a vet 2 full periods to respond to a benching. You might not think "fair" matters, but coaches earn player respect by being fair, and you risk things getting worse pulling the plug on him too early. Wouldn't be surprised to see Claude shut down the minutes now that we're in the 3rd if he doesn't pick it up, though.

Yet our team is ahead of them in the standings and our team beat them all year.
