Anaheim were handed a truly ridiculous schedule to start this season. I'm just curious if this is an anomaly, or if any other team(s) had anything similar?
The Ducks played their last pre season game on Oct 4th, then were forced to sit out for eight days while multiple teams suited up for two or three games in the mean time. Finally got started on the road last night in SJ, and are now forced into a back to back road game already in Vegas tonight.
I noticed a few other teams had back to back road games mid week to start their season. But having to sit out over a week was the real odd part for me. If anything, you'd think the teams with heavier travel would be the ones getting their games pushed out earlier. Instead the Ducks are sitting 8 days while eastern teams play 2-3 times.
Nothing to get too up in arms about, but I feel like I'd be more pissed about the lack of balanced scheduling if my team looked like any sort of contender this year. Am I wrong or does it seem kind of bizarre?
