They played 3 periods. Florida shut them down when they gained a lead they never should have had. For all intents and purposes this was a 2-2 game. Your take of it not being close is preposterous. We just had our goalie lose the game for us.
Rangers were ass again 5v5, did *not* stack up (they rarely do anyway). It is OK to not be the best team in the league. Rangers are not that team, this game is indicative. Florida is better.
There was at least one more, someone (Panarin?) setup a really good deflection in front that Bob gloved
That is right, Bob made a crazy save on a Mika deflection.

I thought that was the 3rd period, but your point stands.

At least Mika is moving his damn feet and making plays, even if its defensive plays. Kreider just waits for the puck/play to come to him.
There were 3 or 4 stretch passes to Kreider cheating but basically standing still at the far blue line. I don't think he was able to even dump any of them in.

He plays a lot like he just got old. I think it's over. This was a game with a lot of juice and he's just got not much anymore.

First period, pretty good discipline with the structure. Then, inevitably you just knew the structure would falter and the pretty hockey can't cut it.
This is a recurring theme with them not just this year, but the last 5. Same leaders, same structure, same PP, when it gets too hard for too long they just don't have 60 minutes in them. Tell me I'm wrong.

Miffed right now. Kreider can completely be a beast and body everyone off if he really wants it, but he chooses to play a lazy finesse game with Zibanejad. And Lavy just wants to keep them together. f*** off.

Why do you think Panarin's line was shut down? Because there's just one line to focus on.

Panarin is back to mostly floaty perimeter stuff too. I get that it's a grueling long season and they are starting to look ahead to the playoffs now but he is back to bad perimeter habits again. Also hogging the puck through the neutral zone is becoming a new bad habit.

This was a close game for sure. Could have gone either way. It was a shit goal but shit happens. Igor has been very good.

He's trying to make things happen. I don't think he's playing perimeter at all. Again, sometimes there is nobody to blame.

I thought the game was completely even until the bad goal which could have been blown dead for a blatant fla penalty . Fla then went into shut down mode and melted the game. We had a couple big time chances at the end to tie it but tough to do when the puck is on kakkos stick.

Totally even game between two of the best teams.
Exactly my thoughts. Thank you for your understanding of this sport they call hockey which is generally in short supply when they lose.
