I'm sure he will have his moments on the wrong side of the puck, but Gus gives me positive vibes about what he's going to be able to provide for such a small cap hit.
Gustafsson is the prototypical modern defenseman who makes some mistakes but his impact is overall positive in all zones because the puck goes away from Igor. We needed that.

We have talent on the back end but it's a lot of old school size and clogging. Adding Gustavsson was a good, alert signing that demonstrated shrewd value and attention to detail. Encouraging from Drury.

Drury knows what he is doing...unlike the 900 other gm's we have posting on our board

I think I saw him make one single mistake all night. Great player.
Because of the big, dumb jock stereotype, he used to not get enough credit (it's better now among Rangers fans) for how toolboxy he is.

He's such a clean, tight, heady player that understands how to play to his skills and always do the right thing.

He did take the one penalty but it's not the end of the world if he throws his body, they matched it up, and over large samples, he's actually improved that aspect of his game dramatically.

He's honestly not Wayne Gretzky with the puck on his stick and we've seen countless players who are unable to translate the speed and size.

It was SO refreshing seeing the first PP unit going for a change around the 1 minute mark almost every time. No doubt that came from the coaching staff. The second PP had some chances but the more they play the better they will get. And it gives the players on the first unit more time to rest for their ES play. Thank you Lav!!!

I wasn't even thinking of the penalty, that shit happens and he did plaster a guy. He left his defensive position open once, and it wasn't even a major mistake just stood out a little because he doesn't do that often.
