Bill Mitchell awarded $390k AUD + interest in defamation lawsuit against YouTuber Karl Jobst

I thought this was about the whole Donkey Kong fiasco but nope, just defamation. Pretty surprised at the ruling after reading up on it but this did happen in Australia and there's some pretty f***ed up shit happening in the land down under lately.
I’m really shocked by the amount of replies I’m seeing supporting Billy Mitchell, do people actually think he’s not a cheater
After the proof of his cheating was discovered, Jobst made videos about Billy Mitchell and included this defamation lawsuit in one of his videos, but because he wasn’t careful with his words, mitchell used this as a pretext for this lawsuit.
This is 100% about donkey Kong.
Billy being both independently wealthy and used to filing lawsuits on his own has a strategy of bleeding people’s wallets to get these cases to settle. That’s why for years nobody would speak out about him being a cheater even though it was widely known. Karl jobst was the first big YouTuber willing to say it and not back down.
This is definitely about Donkey Kong. Very short summary, a YouTuber named Apollo Legend made a video saying the same things everybody else said, years and years back, that Billy was a cheater. Unfortunately this was before some smoking gun evidence that he was in fact cheating was discovered. Billy sued Apollo for defamation and Apollo settled and payed damages and apologized. Apollo later took his own life and made a suicide video blaming several other YouTubers but also his own health.

What I meant is this ruling wasn't about Karl calling Billy a DK cheater. A lot of people who have a passing interest in this story would assume it to be if they just read the headline.
