Rangers need to win at a .700 clip to get in. That's not easy! Schedule is tough here on out. If they pull out of that would be actually impressiveWe're well on our way to a Rangers vs. Capitals rematch. Let Ovi get his record and then the Rangers can knock the Capitals out in the 1st round.
Thankfully she didn’t ask to meet with Corey PerryJoe mentioning that Lafreniere's mom specifically requested to meet with Sam Rosen is one of the funnier moments in his career.
One of these things is not like the others

I remember in the other thread when “fans” said Igor sucks.
Are we buying in to the 'Miller effect' where he's come in a is dragging this team with him, or did the team just (sort of) find its game again after sucking for too long?
We've gone 7-4-0 with Miller here, after going 7-2-2 in the 11 before he got here, but;
Miller is 7-7-14 after going 1-5-6 in the 11 beforehand
Mika is 4-11-15 after going 1-4-5 in 11
Cuylle is 4-2-6 after going 2-1-3 in 11
So it does look like if nothing else bringing him has completely changed the fortunes of him, and our top line
All the teams around the Rangers are mid. Rangers wont have to play at a .700 pace to get in. I'm sure it would guarantee it, but look at last year's race down to the final day. So many teams had chances to run away with it and no one did until the corpse of the Washington Capitals got in.Rangers need to win at a .700 clip to get in. That's not easy! Do we really? Why do we have a 60% chance of making it then?Rangers need to win at a .700 clip to get in. That's not easy! Schedule is tough here on out. If they pull out of that would be actually impressive
I guess we both fail the "fan test."You can't be a fan because you're critical at the highest paid (or second highest?) player on your team?
We’ll play the Canes in Round 1 and the Caps in Round 2.Rangers need to win at a .700 clip to get in. That's not easy! Schedule is tough here on out. If they pull out of that would be actually impressive

Because the Moneypuck playoff model is extremely bad. The sportsbooks have us at like 45% and CBJ around 38%. But Moneypuck also has us with the 8th best chance to win the cup better than Toronto/Edmonton etcCan someone explain why we have an almost 30% better chance of making the playoffs than CBJ who are ahead of us and in the same division?
Just curious, but why?
The Rangers are essentially there in points at the moment and just need to out-do the teams around them. Is there some freakish expectation that all the teams in the bubble around the Rangers will play .680 hockey the rest of way out, when they've all been low to mid .500s all season, where the Rangers need to be above .680? Cuz only two teams have consistently played above .680 all season and I don't think it's a given any of the teams the Rangers are competing with have the skill to play at that level for 20+ games.
A lot of people really wanted Roy as coach here. I'm not blaming Roy but it is noteworthy.Lindgren and Trouba have been the human embodiment of "panic" on defense the last 2 seasons. Everything has calmed down a lot without them, especially K'Andre's game. I enjoyed him going right back at Anders Lee late in that game. The Islanders are such a defeated team.
