Speaking of Chvrches, I was at the R&R Hall of Fame today and they have Lauren's leather jacket and a draft of the "Mother We Share" lyrics

What were you doing in Cleveland? That's where I live (waiting for all of the jokes dissing my town).

Seeing a show at the Grog Shop (The Good Life, you've probably never heard of them. /hipster)

I've only been to Cleveland a few times but it seems pretty cool to me. I only made it to Great Lakes Brewery but I could have spent a couple evenings in Ohio City easily.

I mean... Cleveland is probably Ohio's second nicest overall city!

To be just edged out by Columbus. That's something! Right? Right?!?

One of my favorite games of all time was just re-released on Steam...brings a tear to my eye.
Grandia-II.jpg

And it's an upgraded port of the Dreamcast version, not the too-buggy-to-play PS2 version, complete with working VMU saves...now if only my old VMU still worked.

So...now I demand Skies of Arcadia.

Heh, so I visit my parents over the weekend and see my mom playing the FF games on her phone. And here I am still playing words with friends on my phone.

I really like Grandia II's battle system, also finished that game, twice.

Looking forward to finish Skies of Arcadia twice too, now if there wasn't so many ****ing wandering monsters roaming around...

Don't you still have your DC console?

My 1st one broke by OD of usage, sold my 2nd & recently got a 3rd. :D

Metal Gear 5 or whatever looks incredible. Am I too un retro, here? One game at a time I guess.

I was not planning at all to play this game, but I got it free with the purchase of my new video card for my PC, so I guess I'll be playing it. I had no idea there was a new MGS game until I purchased the card, and the I went and saw some really glowing reviews for it.

Looks like this (and replaying Skyrim on Ultra settings) should tide me over nicely until Fallout 4.

Hey WingLord what character are you playing in Skyrim?

I usually play as a Bosmer (Wood Elf) Archer/Scout/Assassin/Rouge.

Every once in a while I try to play as a Spellsword or Mage and end up ditching magic altogether. Just isn't my style. I never ever play as a Barbarian/Knight/any kind of H2H class as I usually end up losing track of my health in the heat of battle and die all too often.

I love to sneak and lurk... so the Bosmer Scout usually is my go to.

I always suspected you were of the treacherous ******* type. :D

Seriously though i get your take, too easy to go for a berserker rage with a barbarian & a tad complicated to be a spellcaster although that'll be my next character. I have to play Dragon's Dogma 1st though (an open world Diablo). Also got a DreamCast, have a NES/Sega Master emulator on it so retro gaming time it'll be for a while.

Still have my Dreamcast, just need to get the wires. Honestly I don't have any interest in hooking it back up...some memories are best left memories.

That said, RPGs hold up significantly better than other genres and Grandia II was the only reason I was considering getting the ol' Dreamcast to work again...then a few months ago I heard that this was coming out and...yeah, I'm psyched.

The original is definitely better than the sequel...but they're both in my top 10 so that's only saying so much.

Such a shame that the cast of characters in Grandia III made that game unplayable for me and effectively killed the series (there was a Japanese-only MMO, but even that went offline 3 years ago). I want Grandia IV...and Lunar 3. Asking such a small development house to develop an RPG for current hardware, though...our only hope is the PS Vita, which...yeah.

I wonder if Grandia 1 is available for Dreamcast? I mean, like legally hacked. Also, any of you into mods or homebrewed? Gotta love people's dedication as they make our beloved consoles still going.

Interlude (i like her style):

If you still have the Dreamcast, pick up the VGA box for it. Clarity to HDTV is amazing. I need to get the Genesis AV to SCART/RGB cable and SCART to HDMI box.
