I guess he does have the conn smythe this year but even that was a pretty weak conn smythe performance and arguably undeserved.

Spoiler alert from a season that ended over 7 years ago. Kane scored 106 points compared to Crosby’s 85, a difference of 21 points. 21/85 = 24.7%.

Oops, you really thought this was the season Benn beat Crosby for the first time, didn’t you? No, this was the following season where Crosby was drowning deep at sea while Kane was on a yacht laughing.

It’s a weird season. Kane had the best year but I think he was producing a bit above his head and was never actually the best player. Was crazy hot the first 1/4 of the season. Crosby was a bit better the rest of the year after a weak start under MJ. I think initial Sullivan era Crosby was better than Kane and that continued into the following year. Price was just as good as the year before before getting injured. Karlsson and Doughty we’re both very good but I’m not sure if quite best in the league. I mean it’s easy to default to Kane but I’m not convinced he was the best just as I don’t think Kucherov was better than McDavid in 18-19. Granted McDavid was closer in the actual season

Price was leaning toward another Vezina worthy season, then got injured and the Habs showed their true colors, as they instantly fell apart once Price went out for the season.

Lol I love how the usual crowd with biases against Crosby just assume any argument they don’t agree with is due to a bias for him. I haven’t voted for Crosby here, or in any of the other seasons he hasn’t won, but have argued against the idea that simply the best season is the end goal here. But if your lack of reading comprehension leads to that conclusion, so be it.

I think it’d be tough to win a consecutive Hart as a goalie, but I could see him having a similar season again. He seemed dialed in before the injury.
