What gets overshadowed with the halak run is that Mike cammalleri turned into guy lafleur at the same time.

If halak is there, cammalleri should be right there too.

I think like a lot of players on this list. We naturally tend to have a favorable impression on the players who got drafted and developed by us.

I also think the era we most enjoyed this team plays a factor.

Cammalleri like Gionta had a great run but seeing Halak making impossible saves back to back against prime Washington and Pittsburgh was the greatest performance I've seen from any Habs player. He robbed both teams of a Stanley Cup and it will always have a special place in my heart.

Cammalleri broke the record for most goals by a hab in a playoff series, and really he was lights out in both series wins too.

No doubt he had a great run also. I just have a natural tendency to fall back on the players that I have a emotional connection.

Cammalleri was a player I just wanted more. I wanted to see those 80 points season. It never happened. My expectations were really high especially after letting go Koivu and Kovalev but his production was always underwhelming.

Just a side note. I think Plekanec was really underappreciated during that run. Fans love to criticize him for his playoff production but he was always phenomenal to shut down the opposition and played a key role.

I think it was a decent list. It's a fun summer thread. No need to be mean to your fellow poster.

Yeah pleky was at his peak under martin. Unfortunately, he seems remembered more for the last couple years, but the guy had the ch tattooed on his chest.

Smart, underappreciated player

I remember wisniewski on a podcast a couple years back went out of his way to comment on pleky and how clueless he was as to how good of a hockey player pleky was until he came here.
