My copy actually arrived x-mas eve, a full month before the official release date. I wonder if smaller artists are setting release dates factoring in potential delays in vinyl manufacturing and then just mailing them out if they arrive early/on-time?

This album(like their others) is just good, mellow background music. I don't think anything they put out will ever be in contention for my album of the year but still happy to have it.

I do think that’s the case because the delays were so rampant and people blamed the artist for the manufacturing issues, which in 2024, we should all know better. Well, some have learned, so that’s good. Under promise, over deliver.

This is a guy to keep an eye on. His new album “heavy metal” just came out last week to rave reviews.

Only 22 years old, and can definitely see this album being in my top 5 at the end of the year.

Is his music heavy metal?
 
Doves album has had a couple good singles so far, looking forward to that.

Franz Ferdinand released a new one, reviews are not good but the singles probably aren't bad.

Nothing like the music posted here so far lol
This is my album of the year so far. THIS is what in flames should have been, but it is what it is. Their new album is half decent, but these guys (ex in flames dudes) keeping it fresh, while giving off nostalgic vibes. Just perfect for me.

Neil Young - Oceanside Countryside 02/14/2025


'Oceanside Countryside' is the latest of Neil Young's great "lost" albums to be released as part of his Analog Original Series (AOS). The album was recorded from May to December 1977 on tape. These are the original mixes done at the time of recording.
 
I've decided I like the new Mogwai album. Nothing properly bone rattlingly loud, quite a few that sound like they're from previous albums, but it's all good.
