Time for the annual thread to discuss what new music you're looking forward to, what you're currently digging and ultimately what are your favorite albums of '25.
Rose City Band - Sol Y Sombra 01/24/25
My copy actually arrived x-mas eve, a full month before the official release date. I wonder if smaller artists are setting release dates factoring in potential delays in vinyl manufacturing and then just mailing them out if they arrive early/on-time?If Rose City Band doesn’t sum up the collective sound of Portland’s mellow music scene of the last 20 years, I don’t know what does.

This album(like their others) is just good, mellow background music. I don't think anything they put out will ever be in contention for my album of the year but still happy to have it.
This is a guy to keep an eye on. His new album “heavy metal” just came out last week to rave reviews.
Only 22 years old, and can definitely see this album being in my top 5 at the end of the year.
