Bennett hit on Stolarz (no supplemental discipline) MOD WARNING IN POST #621

Bob got hit in the head with the puck in the game. Helmet is made for taking pucks to the head straight on, it's not made for taking big elbows to the side of the head.
A goalies helmet is designed to take hits from front and side.

  • Side Protection:
The helmet's design extends to the sides to cover areas where a player might be hit, such as the temple.
I don't believe Bob's hit off the head blew the helmet off his head

Seemed to be enough force to knock the helmet off. One of those shots that had enough force and angle to do damage

He wasn’t pushed in. Went in himself. Slight cross check and follow through with elbow. If it wasn’t Bennett I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Who knows what his means for Stolarz but you can’t have guys hit the goalie on their own accord whether he disguises it or not.

Not all shots are created equal. Just because goalies aren't injured often, doesn't mean it didn't happen here.

A shot the dome combined with an elbow is probably gonna do some damage.
People are making long reaching assumptions. What I saw was a player with the reputation of a scumbag give a goalie an elbow to the head.

At the end of the day we can pull reasons out or we can just use our damn eyes; something the league does not do with Bennett.

The Bennet hit added to the problem and have no problem with everything being reviewed.

The League has two choices, give Bennett the suspension he deserves or be prepared for a Bob injury next game.
f*** that don't go after bob. That's acting like Bennett. Dress Reaves and as soon as dipshit hops over the boards for his first shift of the game send Reaves out to take care of the problem. If the league won't protect the goalie or punish the aggressor that's why enforcers exist.

Bennett can't fight, he's tough on suspecting players.
Uh, what? I'm no fan of the Panthers, and Bennett is greasy, but he's been a pretty good fighter. Domi's the only guy in tonight's Leafs lineup who ought to be messing with Bennett-- and they fought last season and Bennett got the better of him.

Enter Ryan reeves
To fight, sure, but he's a detriment as a player.

And the Panthers get a 7 minute power play to start the game. How does that help win the game?

Reaves is far from a dirty player.

I don't know where the belief is that he is some sort of rat, but he is a very clean player for the role he plays.

That camera from above clearly shows that if Bennet continue his skating line he would not even touch Stolarz, but then his elbow goes back and away from the body and into head. Headshot and intention to injury clear as day.

Wow, looking at the top down it looks clearly targeted which changes things a lot for me. Not only that but he gets him near the back of the head which can do a lot of damage to an unsuspecting person.

I wonder what DOPS will do?
