Could have been a concussion on the shot and Benny contact created the delayed effect. Sudden and direct contact twice in a short period of time can do that [delay, they have a term for it but can't remember OTOH]

The reality is that was an intentional headshot meant to hurt a guy and he succeeded.

Probably dozens, but most are probably mild.

The head shake is probably a reaction to clear "cobwebs".

If people are truly concerned about concussions, goalie takes puck off the helmet, causing helmet to fall off you take him off the ice.

That is the safe thing to do

Lotta hate going back to when Bennett cheap shotted rookie Knies and put him out last series. Feels like people arnt acting all that bad considering arguably the best keeper in the league this year got knocked out of possibly the series by the same guy.

Goalie forced to eventually leave game and head to hospital in ambulance.

Leaf team doctors should be held responsible as Stiolarz likely had a concussion after getting hit in the head with the puck early in the 1st. Why did they leave him in?

Goalies take shots off the helmet all the time. There was no reason to suspect anything until he started showing symptoms. Stolarz stayed in the game. The medical staff aren't all knowing.

If the team doctors and the league spotters missed it, that is the issue.

Going back in time pointing to another incident that also wasn't a suspension is pointless. Has nothing to do with anything.

Again hopefully Stolarz is OK and we get an actual medical professional telling us all what happened.

Everything else is speculation and bad blood.

A head shake before a face off doesn't signal a concussion in hockey. Every goalie does it.

Clearly the NHL wouldn't put that as a reason to pull a goalie because every goalie would be pulled every game if that was the case. Goalies will shake their head just to ensure the strap is still in place.

Of course you know better than a neuroscientist who is an expert in the area of head injuries.
