That’s a weird one. It Was a head shot but not very hard. Was maybe Stolarz hit in the head earlier in the game, because that on its own didn’t seem enough to cause an injury, just exacerbate an existing undiagnosed one.

ITT people who have never played hockey and don’t understand head trauma. It was accidentally on purpose which is a cheap shot. Getting hit in the back of the head is worse. There’s a reason it’s outlawed in combat sports. I really hope Stolarz is okay. Looks like a combo of that hit and the shot he took. Still a cheap shot from Bennett IMO. But probably wouldn’t be as hurt if it wasn’t for the first shot.

Lots of Leafs fans in here connecting this bump by Bennett to Stolarz puking and being taken out on a stretcher. It's possible that something else is going on, like him being sick. How about not jumping to conclusions just because you're angry?

I was rooting for the Leafs and that Bennett move barely registered for me. Maybe GI if a goal happened. Maybe. Stolarz looked fine afterward. The puking was later.

The side hits hurt a hell of a lot more than straight on as a former goalie myself. Ive been kneed in the side of the head from a guy skating by going for a puck...far worse.

The back of a goalie helmet isn’t as protective as a players helmet but it still offers a decent amount of protection. Not saying it wasn’t a cheap shot but the impact doesn’t look forceful enough to cause any kind of Head trauma

It really didn't look like much in the replays, but he was obviously hurt if he was puking on the bench. I hope Stolarz makes a quick recovery. I thought Sam's hit on Knies was more deliberate.

No, and given his history of getting away with this shit I highly doubt he even faces discipline for it. There's a reason I've been so vocal about Bennett being a complete piece of shit. This guy does not belong in the NHL, complete garbage, if the rulebook was actually called against him he probably gets a 5 minute major every second game.

Legitimate trash human being, up there with the Matt Cooke's of the world. In no way is that even remotely a hockey play, but somehow accidentally it always just seems to be him "getting tangled up" as Panthers fans like to word it.
