Stolarz was seen vomiting on the bench because of the hit to the head

Are headshots legal now? or is the League going to do the right thing and suspend bennet?

further to bennet being allowed to head hunt players

just fyi

Is bennet going to be disciplined or they are going to allow blatant head hunting of the players? this is no joking matter!

The back of a goalie helmet isn’t as protective as a players helmet but it still offers a decent amount of protection. Not saying it wasn’t a cheap shot but the impact doesn’t look forceful enough to cause any kind of Head trauma
That’s fair. Watching again it looks more like his neck. Maybe even some sort of whiplash. Combination with that shot to that head.

There's really nothing there. I wouldn't be surprised if the injury was from something else and this just aggravated it. For example, the slapshot early that snapped his helmet off

Unfortunately they don't punish the result, only the act.

Doesn't seem suspension worthy, IMO.

He isn’t pushed in. He skates into him and clearly makes contact with the head as the primary point of contact. How isn’t that a penalty. Stolarz isn’t moving

Lots of Leafs fans in here connecting this bump by Bennett to Stolarz puking and being taken out on a stretcher. It's possible that something else is going on, like him being sick. How about not jumping to conclusions just because you're angry?

I was rooting for the Leafs and that Bennett move barely registered for me. Maybe GI if a goal happened. Maybe. Stolarz looked fine afterward. The puking was later.
Pretty unlikely that him being sick would result in him being stretchered off to the hospital

Seems more plausible that the initial Reinhart shot to the head + Bennett's cheap shot led to him vomiting, a concerning sign for brain injuries which leads to going to the emergency room

Gets hit in the head, goes to the ice grabbing his head. Vomits minutes later. “Are we sure it was a concussion”

I'm struggling to see how that kind of contact caused Stoli to vomit and be stretchered away. Didn't look like much of anything, like I watched the video and wondered if OP posted the wrong link.

Hopefully the league acknowledges it and let’s hear what they think.

If they say it wasn’t intentional or anything like that I will hope a leaf takes a suspension and deals with Bennett

I mean stolarz is in bad shape but even knowing that it just looks like a rub

Yeah, but what it looks like on TV is not really the compelling evidence anymore. The injury is.

No doubt it was a forearm or elbow the head. srsNo doubt it was hard (what with the vomiting). This should be more than a $2K fine. Leafs R1 MVP is out of the series.

I guess my question is why no suspension?

If he skates across the ice and picks the head of skater he would. Why not this?
Guess you'd have to ask DOPs and Parros.

It's certainly a weird one. I don't see the "forcible" contact, but head was definitely hit.

We'll see.
