Reinbacher, for me, is Jay Bouwmeester. Solid. Great skater. I just don't see the offensive instincts that tells me he could be more. But every team need a Bouwmeester...that's for sure. Let's hope I'm wrong for the offense.
Bouwmeester was a third overall pick.

He had 10 seasons where he averaged more than 25 mins per game. 14 seasons of 22 plus minutes per game and only once in his entire career played less than 20 ( rookie season 19:42).

He is a member of the triple gold club (Stanley cup, World Cup and Olympic gold). He played in the world juniors at 16 and won three world juniors. He once played 737 consecutive games.

I would be EXTREMELY happy with that. Thank you .

That would be a great outcome. He would have played over 1,300 games with no lockout. He was on some porous Panthers and Flames teams.

Here's a crazy stat... In JBo's draft year, only 6 players picked in the first round that year played more NHL games than the very last player picked that year (Jonathan Ericsson, 9th round, 291st OA)

Zero relevance to your comparison aside from JBos 2002 draft class...

I think that's probably a fair low estimate of what RBs ceiling looks like... I see more assertiveness in the glimpses of RB I've seen, JBo was about as passive as a player gets. His physical tools and great hockey IQ allowed him to be a very good NHLer, but also speaks to a lot of impact potential left on the ground because of his lack of intensity. Hopefully RB carries more edge with him as he settles into his frame & builds man-strenght
