Bell Media Exploring Sale of Tsn

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
if they get the broadcasting rights, i hope there's no regional blocks under Amazon Prime. Depending on how they implemented the region locks, it could be a hassle depending what IP address your ISP provided you. When i tried to subbed to TSN on Amazon Prime, i couldn't watch Habs games there because the system thought I was in Toronto because my IP Address has a Toronto geolocation. I even tried to use a VPN to switch IP regions.

Reactions: the valiant effort
Prime is the future of hockey. And personally, I think they know the product and understand the best way to promote it

I have a 91-year-old grandpa who watches Jets games religiously on TV. He doesn't have any internet or a cell phone. He doesn't even know what the internet is, let alone what Amazon Prime is. If it's not on TV, he'll lose one of the few things that brings him joy at his age. I'd imagine there are a lot more folks like him than people think.

The only thing it is good for is HBO. Lots of amazing stuff in the archives

But it's very expensive for the content. You get both HBO and Super Écran though. I sub to it whenever there's an ongoing series, but then remove it until new seasons come out. I re-subbed when House of the Dragon season 2 started and will probably unsub once Dune Prophecy (also watched Penguin in the interim) is over in a few weeks and sub again when The Last of Us part 2 comes out in spring.

I hope Amazon buys them and owns all the NHL broadcasting rights.

Give everything to Jeff Bezos. NHL games should be on the superior platform.
I am on the road this week and decided to watch the habs game online, I watch on RDS online and then Amazon and the Amazon feed was 10 times clearer then the RDS feed, it really wasn't comparable. If you want to compete with the big boys you need to have the same service and unfortunately they don't. SO all these old dinosaur cable companies, will fgo away with the likes of Kodak, Blockbuster, Taxi's (if it wasn't for the gov't meddling in Quebec) etc....
