The difference ia you saw the flashes from those guys. Hughes looked like a boy who needed to mature. MacKinnon was lighting on skates. I don’t see the special stuff with Bedard.

Maybe you haven´t seen enough games? We all have seen flashes of brilliance from Bedard. His IQ, vision and so on. This season he has kind of regressed but development isn´t always linear with these kids. If I can´t see any improvement next season from him I´m gonna be a little bit nervous.

what's the matter? i figure if you have so much to say about how the bad captain of a bad hockey team is basically personally ruining everything including bedard, the team in general, the global economy, your life, etc., then 10 posts should flood out pretty easy.

the problem isn't the speculation per se, it is the way it is stated as confident fact and *repeatedly*. i give musto shit when he does it, wouldn't be fair to let it slide just because you aren't as odious.

I agree with all points. I will note three things though. First, he’s not currently “great”. He’s good offensively only, and falls into that category compared to the rest of the NHL. Second, he’s not even getting partial breakaways. He’s repeatedly stopped at the blueline or pushed to the outside. His zone entry has worsened this year. Third, he has to learn some defense at the NHL level.

If he improves on most of those things plus the video points, then he could move into the great category. This summer will be critical for his development.
