Brayden Point was definitely not a burner when he was drafted. A big reason he was drafted where he was. Not sure why were comparing him now to a 19yo Bedard.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, possibly getting him and Kucherov mixed up, I don't know.

Either way, plenty of kids improve their skating, so my point remains (whether or not it involves Point).

Bedard has a long way to go to be an elite top op NHL scorer..

Yes..Only 19 ..so therevusxthat

Yes..no top linemate legalize linemates to form dynamic duos..

There are signgle elite scorers doing most of it themselves...eg.Kaprizov..
Or there 2 elite scorers together who feed and help each other score like McKinnon and Rantanen .
Bedardchas no other YETto form a dynamic duo on a top line.

However IF by the time he is 23 he still is only a 66 pts pace uiy..then Chicago has a problem.

Also C or W ?

If he cannot improve on draws then maybe using him C is not his future.Bedardchadconebofvhos better nights in the dot ladt night (40%) but that still not good enough...you gotta start with the puck...especialky on POs...

And if Nazar loses all his drawsvl.like ast night vs.Washington (0/ 7) then hev oo cannot be one of top 2 centers. Unless we hacecwibgerscwho also excel in the dot..Butvusualkybin the NHL centers take the draws...startingninno-zobecwithoutvtyevpuck is not ideal.

Maybe I bet shot prop overs too much in my free time, and he's definitely picked up his production slightly of late with the help of some apples, but he needs to shoot the puck more. I'm not sure if it's his age, or the system, or feeling like he needs to be unselfish at times to defer to veterans, but he's got to start letting it rip more. He's been playing with a blender of linemates and maybe they don't do the best job creating him time and space or driving possession. However, how are you going to score if you're only putting the puck on net once or twice a game? He's only shot the puck more than twice one time (4 at NYI) in his last eight games, with three of those being zero or one shot on net. He's got a bright future, but I want him to start realizing he's the most talented player on the ice for his team and has the best shot. Sick of watching him make a dish and one of plugs or struggling players do nothing with it. Rip it, kid.
