So know in desperation LR trying the 3 Slumpes kibe:

Hall Bedard Kurashev...

Hehas tried everything g else to no avail..

Calling out his 3 slumbers to work it out together?

Vs. the Dallas structure...probably the new kine gets hemmed in all gNe and ne er has the puck.

Yes a wake up call to all 3...prove you Re worthy ofxanNHL job...or else?
Haha what’s the “or else” in this scenario?

Just for reference, Jack Hughes had 31 points in 56 games in his sophomore/age 19 season. He has been a PPG center (despite sub-40% at the dot) every year since.

Hughes entered this season as the 20th best player in the league according to NHL.com. Even If Bedard is “only” on the Jack Hughes trajectory (which I’m not convinced of) it’s still one of the absolute best players in the league, and a clear cut franchise piece.

I think he'd be thriving if there were two of him. Just hard to be your line's best playmaker and goal scorer at even strength and powerplay. Right now that means not a lot of goals. And then things start to snowball once the mental side of things kick in. Long-term, not too concerned, short and medium term, concern is really that the "get Bedard some help" signings have not gone well.

he needs a running mate like kane had toews, sid had malkin, ovy had backstrom etc etc...nhl isnt the nba, cant do it alone, more likely than not right as people start to write him off or peg him as a lesser talent is when he'll start to cook again in a big way

the long term get bedard help guys are not going to be ufas, they just rarely hit the market and the big ticket guys usually don't work out, they need a few more years of being garbage to get a few blue chip forwards and have some guys like nazar graduate to the nhl

My only concern is bad habits: lazy backhanded passes are becoming a bad habit.

Bedard cannot be chasing without the puck and not getting getting it back much to start transitions or continue o-zone attack plays ...chasing so much without gaining re-pisesdiondraibs his energy.. not saying KR should give up what Bedardxdoes not do well and tell him to forget defending.. to cheat more for break-away chances.. to not waste energy defending like Kane got away with...but if he cannot execute defensive doninanance to gain possession and start transition attacks.. if he cannot be greatwithout the puck and so does not get enough transition opportunities 5x5 then maybe you do gotta give himpermusdionto play 1 way and not try to do what he cannot.
(Fit into the LR turtle in tight box system defending)..
Save energy just for the atrack?

On the Pp they need to get him in the middle slotvto fire shots on goal..not at the perimeter trying to setup plays for guys who cannot Finnish anyway.

In any case we HAVENOT seen Bedard look very special this season..Tge "shot" is NIA..the Nikita to control pucksvpast and aroubd checkers as he did in Juniors is NOT bei g seen much.

Honestly hisvpkayvhas not been that good..True he has not had much help ..tgere has been little chemistry with any libemates KR puts together with hom.

So not alk his fault.. But he has got to be alot better himself...get clear from good scoribg areas and fire his shotvto beat goalies..This has not been on display much for quite a long period spanning the 21 GP this season and the futility of goal scoring last 14GP last season...totalling just 4goalsover last 35 GP...just unacceptable for anyone getting 1st line minutes and top PP minutes.
Not that his new kubexwith Hall and Kurachev bodes well...but in some twisted way LR may be giving the 3Slumoers line somehow gels and all 3 start scoring some goals....Methinks LR is desperately hoping for a miracle.
3 MIA's suddenly becone 3 stars?

Very skeptical..but I know 1 thing...these 2 notvoroducibg wibgwrsxare nit goubg to help Bedard much..He will need to help them..which takes away from him scori g goals if he must work to set them up.

Ifvhe had star wingers who help themselves then he could benefit by being selfish and just work to get his own shots off or clean up the garbage from rebounds off theirxshots..

But alas he is saddled with 2 bums and so the ops know if they just check him hard that line will not be effective against them.

Not my opinions, please dont shoot the messenger.

Was listening to a finnish podcast where Kimmo Timonen is one of the two hosts, and he said that Bedard's skating isnt where it needs to be (but will only get better and easily since he is so young).

Other points; He looks scared to go to the corners and also kinda floats around waiting for someone else to do the work and waits for the puck, emphasized on the fact that it doesnt work like that in the NHL if you want to be a difference maker.

He isn't someone who has watched all his shifts or probably not even half so take that in mind, just his opinions watching him every now and then.

He's not entirely wrong, especially about his skating. He's playing lower in the defensive zone this season, filling more of what is traditionally the center's duties defensively, and because he's further back and his skating hasn't improved enough, he's not getting many chances off odd-man rushes. And the Hawks aren't skilled enough to cycle the puck either, so he really has no way of producing right now unless he cheats a bit defensively or the PP starts clicking.

Like you said, his skating will continue to improve. He is 19 until next summer; plenty of time to improve his skating. But for right now, it's an issue.

Regarding his board play, meh, he's undersized, but fights for pucks often enough. You won't ever mistake him for Sid though.

Yeah that also a team thing isn't it, if your D is great, you will get those breakouts way more. No shade to Hawks, Wings suck as well but i bet you know what i mean.

It's not like Bedard is a bad skater, he's very smooth and technically sound.

He just isn't explosive whatsoever and unfortunately sometimes that just boils to genetics/fibre type. Like the difference between like Caufield and Debrincat.

He might be smooth, but he surely isn't technically sound. A lot of work ahead of him before you can say that. Yeah obv explosiveness is somewhat about genes and muscle types, but he's so young he can get soooo much better no matter what (and i have no doubt he will). But let's be honest, worrying about if Bedard will become a better skater is like wondering if the sun will come up.
