The one where Celebrini being a 200ft player is a myth, proven by advanced stats. Also the one where Michkov is extremely unlucky 5v5 and should have 6 more points than he does and Celebrini extremely lucky and 3 over his expected.

There will never be a season where Celebrini scores more points than Michkov, the skill level is very noticable, Michkov already established dominance head to head on the scoreboard and physically as well.

Michkov is force to play defense on a bottom 6 role most of the season, Celebrini has been force fed top line minutes with Sharks best players.

Celebrini is the clear 3rd place finisher here and recency bias is hilarious

Michkov
Bedard

Celebrini

This chart is cute AF based around 14 games.

By seasons end he will not have had as good a season as Bedard's rookie season.
This bottom 6 role bullshit just has to stop as anyone can go and look up the actual stats FFS.

Guy plays a ton on the PP and 3 on 3 as well

As a Michkov fanboy, it drove me crazy when everyone blindly suggested he was a tier or two below Bedard. There were always neck and neck in international tournaments and both were dominating in their respective situations so I always felt it was premature to anoint Bedard as the definitively superior talent.

With that in my memory, I can’t discount what Celebrini has done to date. Winning the Hobey as a 17 year old and becoming a legit two-way 1st liner in the NHL at 18 is too impressive to ignore.

I don’t think there is a wrong answer between these 3. But teams with guys like Celebrini almost always are longterm winners. I think he’d carry the most value of the 3 among GMs as of today. I may take Michkov though just because he’s so electric and such a fascinating talent.

All 19 years old and below all just below a PPG all going to be fantastic players. Bedard just had the worst month of his hockey career and shooting at 7% and has 19 points in 24 games.

Celebrini Toews
Bedard Kane
Michkov Marchand

I usually take the naturally gifted 2 way center but if Bedard or Michkov go crazy offensively...

All potential HOFers.

Are you seriously trying to use the 3rd line as a point in Mitchkov’s favour when using all situations P/60? His all situation P/60 is only higher due to his PP scoring. Celebrini is scoring at a much higher rate 5v5. So the 3rd line point is meaningless since he’s producing considerably less in that role. Not that P/60 matters in this sample size.
Not to mention 1st liners generally face tougher competition. 3rd liners generally face 3rd line competition. People are trying too hard to elevate the player IMO.

Bedard for me out of these 3, would put him on the wing though.
Michkov is definetly better than Bedard on the wing. Bedard plays more and has bigger role than Michkov but Michkov still products more. I dont even think Michkov has better linemates. Bedard also has had more time to adjust to the league.

Philly is not great on the paper but Mich is one of the reasons they are playing better than expected. He also has couple of game winner.

If I'm building a team, I want strength down the middle.

Debate has been going very well with lots of input from unbiased fans from other teams. Keep it up guys as we get more data as the season progresses.

Let's forget for a moment that teams don't do this.

Hypothetical question, Flyers fans, if you can trade Michkov straight up for either Bedard or Celebrini, would you and for who?

Likewise, for Blackhawks fans, if you can trade Bedard straight up for either Michkov or Celebrini, would you and for who?

But doesn't a world class winger, particularly a very skilled playmaker, alleviate the need for a 1st overall-caliber center?

Not to mention 1st liners generally face tougher competition. 3rd liners generally face 3rd line competition.
True, but 3rd liners are often checking specialists. Do you think the opponents dread playing against Bedard and his -60 in 90 games? I think the benefit of playing with most skilled players of your team is generally much higher.

Building a team, I’m going to take Celebrini’s skillset and overall game over the other two. I feel he will give you more variety of the type of roster/players to have around him and the team, and in high-pressure moments, I think Celebrini’s high-level two way game is more valuable for an organization.

With that said, it’s not out of the question to expect Michkov and Bedard to have higher production seasons and at times have more dynamic moments. They are among the next wave of highly skilled players and they should become cornerstones for their franchises.

Behind the net
I voted Bedard earlier, but if i could change my vote i would go Celebrini. Part of it is i think Bedard will be "stuck" in Chicago, as in they will offer him ridiculous amounts of money if he even thinks about leaving. I think Celebrini will play his 4th season on a contender and do very well.

Michkov has been impressive looks like he ate enough Big Macs to play in the big leagues from the 140 pound tip as a junior, meanwhile Bedard is really sucking but still fully expect him to be the best player of the new NHL era when he puts it together and loses the white stick tape.

I think Michkov will get close but no cigar to Bedard, can't even spell the other dudes name off the top of my head so who cares about him.
Wishful thinking? I wouldn't be surprised if Mischkov is better in the next few years. Bedard was overhyped. Mischkov couldn't play World Juniors.
