The one where Celebrini being a 200ft player is a myth, proven by advanced stats. Also the one where Michkov is extremely unlucky 5v5 and should have 6 more points than he does and Celebrini extremely lucky and 3 over his expected.

There will never be a season where Celebrini scores more points than Michkov, the skill level is very noticable, Michkov already established dominance head to head on the scoreboard and physically as well.

Michkov is force to play defense on a bottom 6 role most of the season, Celebrini has been force fed top line minutes with Sharks best players.

Celebrini is the clear 3rd place finisher here and recency bias is hilarious

Michkov
Bedard

Celebrini

This chart is cute AF based around 14 games.

By seasons end he will not have had as good a season as Bedard's rookie season.
This bottom 6 role bullshit just has to stop as anyone can go and look up the actual stats FFS.

Guy plays a ton on the PP and 3 on 3 as well

So you think Kucherov or Draisaitl or McDavid or any of the best forwards in the NHL are viewed the way they are because of their defense? Or it’s because they score more than 100+ points every year?

What a quality post

Bedard was beyond bad last year without the puck, he’s about million miles away from being in the same conversation and having the same impact to the game as Kucherov/McDavid/Drai

You don’t have to be elite but the coach atleast has to be able to play you and not be completely caved in

So that + 22 goals doesn’t make his rookie season generational

Funny that the guy you are quoting has said multiple times that Bedard isn't generational eh?

You wrote all of this just to be wrong again?

Context is very important.

Celebrini plays 20 minutes a night on the 1st line with Eklund (22 points) and Zetterlund (19 points) as his most common linemates, both of those guys have better play driving stats and suggest they boost Celebrini up

Michkov, who is scoring at a higher P/60 rate from the 3rd line getting 17:26 minutes plays with most common linemates of Frost (10 points) and Tippet (12 points), which michkov by far has the best play driving stats of the 3.

So.... Do you we go by your PPG rate or my P60 rate? i don't think we'll agree on either so lets just go by the REAL stats

Michkov has more goals
Michkov has double the assist
Michkov is a plus player on a minus 10 team
Michkov has more ESP
Michkov has more PPP
Michkov has better XGF stats
Michkov has better XGA stats

I mean, Celebrini has no REAL advantage on any REAL stats. And i'm sure you saw the game they played head to head?

This makes absolutely no sense. Celebrini will never have the impact a Kucherov or Kaprizov have on the game.

Toews was never as impactful as Kane despite what some Hawks fans told themselves years ago. No one is taking Bergeron over Kucherov.
Toews was every bit the player Kane was and more from 2008-2015 imo. He was better tbh, more than half the time from that time period.

If you're building a team from a clean slate and get to have either Bedard, Michkov or Celebrini, which one would you choose?

This is not a discussion about who will have a better stats sheet. Some things such as defense, leadership, etc, just don't show up in the stats sheet.

I drafted Celebrini 3rd overall in my keeper league, and so far nothing I’ve seen makes me not want to say him.

Ridiculously good hockey player.

And his Tacks are sick.

As a Michkov fanboy, it drove me crazy when everyone blindly suggested he was a tier or two below Bedard. There were always neck and neck in international tournaments and both were dominating in their respective situations so I always felt it was premature to anoint Bedard as the definitively superior talent.

With that in my memory, I can’t discount what Celebrini has done to date. Winning the Hobey as a 17 year old and becoming a legit two-way 1st liner in the NHL at 18 is too impressive to ignore.

I don’t think there is a wrong answer between these 3. But teams with guys like Celebrini almost always are longterm winners. I think he’d carry the most value of the 3 among GMs as of today. I may take Michkov though just because he’s so electric and such a fascinating talent.

Point might be moot because it's starting to look like Celebrini is better offensively too.

Vancouver
Lies

Michkov P/60 2.85 on 3rd line
Celebrini P/60 2.78 on 1st line
Bedard P/60 2.27 on 1st line

Michkov has scored at the highest rate and with a larger sample size. Exhale that chest homie

Are you seriously trying to use the 3rd line as a point in Mitchkov’s favour when using all situations P/60? His all situation P/60 is only higher due to his PP scoring. Celebrini is scoring at a much higher rate 5v5. So the 3rd line point is meaningless since he’s producing considerably less in that role. Not that P/60 matters in this sample size.

I’m a Flyers fan, but I’d probably go with:

1/2. Celebrini/Bedard
3. Michkov

Still super happy to have Michkov. I’d just prefer to build around a centreman.

All 19 years old all just below a PPG all going to be fantastic players. Bedard just had the worst month of his hockey career and shooting at 7% and has 19 points in 24 games.

Celebrini Toews
Bedard Kane
Michkov Marchand

I usually take the naturally gifted 2 way center but if Bedard or Michkov go crazy offensively...

All potential HOFers.
