That's actually a good thing for a rookie dman of his play style.

Nolan is a former 1st round pick with great junior pedigree (won a WJC gold with Bedard).

And Kaiser is a guy with tons of upside. Beautiful skater. You may not think they are notable, but they played a fair amount with the Hawks.

The Sharks have only 4 u24 guys with >20gp, and Celebrini is one of them.

The Hawks also have 4 u24 guys >20gp including Bedard.
You’re overstating their impact. Draft pedigree and junior tournaments don’t translate to effective NHL talent.

Allan and Kaiser are showing decent/good things now but only Vlassic is someone having consistent positive and effective play out there. Reichel could be a lot better at this point in his career too.

Has Michov tried to do the Michigan yet.
Yes and he flubbed it so many times his coach has to call him out on it

I wasn't comparing their u24s to that of the Sharks. I was commenting on your claim that they have a lot of "great young talent" on the team, according to you.

I realize being largely uneventful is a good thing for Allan. However I wouldn't call him a great talent yet, and while yes, he is a former 1st,he was selected as the very last pick (32nd) and was considered a reach.

And like I said with Kaiser, he's an offensive defenseman with one point on the year.

Neither guy has helped Bedard any, and neither has helped the team win any.

The original comment I responded to said "put Bedard in the joyful locker room of young talent on the Sharks team instead of Celebrini and he's not slumping anymore." I was pointing out that Bedard is supported by a large group of veterans, as well as young talent.

It literally had nothing to do with on ice impact.

Both teams have had 4 u24 "regulars" with >20gp. The Sharks have had 8 u24 players play for them this season, the Hawks have had 9. So it was a lame excuse for why Celebrini has had a better year to date than Bedard.

I may have missed that part regarding another poster mentioning the Sharks team, so I rescind my previous comment on that.

Regarding the argument about which team has a more impressive U24 group outside of Bedard/Celebrini, whoever originally mentioned that, it has little bearing on anything. Celebrini has more overall help than Bedard, don't know why we need to specifically distinguish between ages.

I actually think Bedard has better overall support, but they haven't played that way for most of this season. Though Hall and Teravainen are starting to look like they turned a corner, which could be hugely helpful for them.

I still think Bedard finishes north of 80 points this year. He's got that swagger back and is due for some good puck luck.

The coaching change has done wonders for the team offensively.

I don't think any of the Hawks outside Bedard is potentially a PPG player this season, and right now Granlund is just over that for the Sharks, but I think it's pretty comparable roster wise after him.

Yeah I like SJ's high end talent a bit better, but they don't have the depth that Chicago does IMO. Hawks have a bunch of guys that could play top 9/bottom 6 roles elsewhere (Hall, TT, Bertuzzi, Foligno, Dickinson, Mikheyev, Smith, Reichel, Donato). Feels like San Jose has a bunch of junk after their first 7-8 forwards.

Their playstyles are such that I think Bedard's numbers would be better in SJ through 30 games - he'd be great with Eklund and Toffoli. But I don't think Celebrini's would really be any worse in Chicago - his game feels less linemate dependent than Bedard's because of his skating and power.
