Wasted a f***ing 4th on a punter

That punter better be able to get after the QB

f***ing Poles again showing he has no f***ing clue how to build a front 7 with him again ignoring it in FA and draft

Regardless of what else is done to shore up the DL, taking a punter in the 4th is one of the worst uses of a draft pick in Bears history. There’s no getting around that.

Some of the guys Bears passed on to grab a f***ing punter

EDGE Austin Booker
LB Jeremiah Trotter Jr
C Sedrick Van Pran-Granger
EDGE Gabriel Murphy
DT Fabien Lovett
DT Mekhi Wingo
C Hunter Nourazd
G Sataoa Laumea

Yay we can settle for scraps again like we did last year when we had one of the worst pass rushes in NFL history
You'd be settling for scraps either way with these guys that are left in the 4th. You can't fix everything in 1 offseason. Next year they will go heavy on the DL.

Two f***ing seasons and drafts of "We will fix DL next offseason"

f*** Poles

And the idea should be to fix entire team to compete

You wont do jack shit when you cant put pressure on f***ing QB

Stop with your logic! We need over-reactions and meltdowns instead!

So your idea is to fix the entire team to compete, Poles does that with fixing one of their main weakness in Gill, but yet you still bitch about the move. Pick a side.

Hahaha, this dude better be the best punter in years.
I've watched Ryan Stonehouse (Tenn) completely change the complexion of the game. Tenn would be stuck inside their own 20 and then boom, the opponents would be stuck inside their 20. 4th round is probably a bit high, but if he produces like Stonehouse, the 4th won't seem like an overpay. Fingers crossed he can have that same effect.

They got Sweat and Dexter started to come on late. Pass rush got way better late in the year. I'd consider bringing back Ngakoue. And the secondary is great so they should get a bunch of coverage sacks.

Well, the Bears have taken punters in the second and third.

Sweat was MIA the final weeks of season and Dexter had one good game

You need more than one good player up front to have success in NFL, Bears were even with addition of Sweat one of the worst teams in NFL at getting after QB

This is ridiculous hyperbole. You expect every DL to be Aaron Donald or Reggie White?

The only position that it's reasonable to hold to that type of standard is QB and that's because of how big their 2nd contracts are.

Lots of excuse making here. Regardless of depth, you simply don’t take a punter in the 4th round when you have needs. Poles has done great things. This and the Claypool trade are his worst

So would this draft instantly go back to being great if the Bears pull off a trade to grab Austin Booker?

If it is anything more than flipping the 2025 5th for a 2024 5th, I don’t think it’s really worth it.

Gill was terrible and let’s face it even with the exciting potential of the offense it’s still the bears the punter will need to be a weapon.
