After a 10-1 start? THAT is a major choke job.
I get that. Have to look at their schedule to see how tough it was, obviously, but I still think it's not as big of a choke as say a team coming into the POs hot on like a 5 or 6 game winning streak, being the consensus team that is supposed to win everything, etc. I feel like just about everyone in football predicted their demise in this game.

So basically Fields for 3 spots instead of just a second. Not sure.. If MHJ and Nabers are both gone by 6 then no, but if Nabers is there and we can get him then maybe.
I think they will both be gone by 6 unfortunately.

I think its likely that all 3 WRs and Bowers are gone by 9.
I'd be surprised, but I wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth and immediately dangle QB3 and OT2 to needy teams.

Actually perfect prompt for a question I was just about to ask:

If all 3 WRs are gone by 9, do you:

  • Draft Dallas Turner, who has length, size, and a really good year as a true junior. Don't think twice about it, just draft Edge1

    or

  • Dangle OT2/QB3 to needy teams for extra draft capital
How much better than Edge2 and Edge3 would Dallas Turner need to be for you to NOT go for the extra draft capital? How far would you be willing to drop?

I wouldn’t be shocked if Daniels doesn’t go Top 10. I also wouldn’t be shocked if he goes 3.

In your scenario I would dangle it because I don’t think Turner is THAT good.

Wrt draft value, given Fields' value being approximately at a mid 2nd rounder, 9th + Fields + 2nd rounder is valued at ~2190, or about 10 points less than the 3rd overall pick.

Obviously pure value isn't all that matters, but the draft pick value tends to match up better when it's not a team trading up for a QB.

If the choice is between Dallas Turner or getting MHJ or Nabers, I think its worth it to move up for the price I listed.

Especially if you don't move and miss out on Bowers, Odunze, Nabers and MHJ. I do think this team does need another weapon.

can't believe the bears are not in the ben johnson sweepstakes, simply unacceptable from poles and more importantly ownership

why would it be sarcasm, look what he has done with detroit's offense...we're interviewing guys that can't even get HC interviews to become our OC to work with Caleb or whoever they pick? must be a joke
They already stated they’re sticking with Eberflus. I disagree with that choice as well. I’m just wondering why you’re surprised they’re not in on him when it’s obvious why.

i'm saying that its tough to see these teams in on a quality hc candidate while the bears stand pat, bears job is arguably most attractive one out there, even see teams with a track record of making the playoffs every year considering a coaching chance, like dallas, pittsburgh, philly etc...ultimately it falls on ownership, going 10-30 or whatever it is shouldn't be acceptable

Nonsense the Bears job is not that attractive or prestigious.

Chargers easily is most coveted because they have an established young QB and other talented pieces

And Steelers are mulling no coaching changes. They have had 3 coaches over several generations and will let Tomlin leave on own accord or when contract runs out not fire him
