I wouldn’t want Harbaugh running my roster. Coach, sure.

Also would gladly take Vrabel.
I'm a Titan fan and would not want Vrable for the Bears. He's a bit too old school, set in his ways and plays favorites. Plus scuttlebut during the season was that he'd go to NE if Belichek were out.

Some Williams All-22 from the ND game. This is generally what his throws look like when he's not doing highlight reel stuff.

This is what @TLEH and I talk about when we say that it's nonsense that he looks like Fields.

Not trying to ruffle feathers but I think passing on Caleb is borderline delusional. Other than like some insane off the field stuff coming out.
Williams is the easiest layup pick for the bears.

Vrabel's putting Jeffrey Simmons on fullback for goal-line runs is like my favorite thing in the NFL.

Or maybe that's on the OC. I really like it regardless.

the thing that would worry me about the bears taking caleb with this current regime is they try to coach the things out of him that give him the all pro upside...there are things he can fix like getting ball out quicker etc but it ould be a delicate line to cross where they completely neuteralize his creativity and aggressiveness, his out of structure throws are what separates him from most qb prospects

I want Getsy gone as much as the next guy because of his completely inability to work WITH Fields and promote his strengths.

But.

I think Williams the QB is a much better fit for his quick passing scheme than Fields ever was.

That's not my saying that Getsy should be back. He shouldn't.

isn't it a discussion of not just caleb vs daniels/maye because the consensus is and has been thats not a debate but actually the debate is caleb vs daniels/maye + the assets they acquire by moving down a spot or two

Please give us Vrabel. He’s just like Eberflus except he’s actually good!
Vrabel's team has had a worse offense than the Bears the last two years. Let that sink in; fewer yards and less points scored than the Bears. Tenn lost their final 7 games last year, and they weren't tanking. All this in one of the worst divisions in the league, which would have had two rookie QBs this year if Richardson hadn't got hurt........and I'm even a fan of Vrabel but his time has come and gone

Like most defensive HC, Vrabel is a culture setter. Will need someone to run the offense for him.
Teams that are making HC changes will likely be ones with a QB issue (save for Chargers). So, they want a new QB and thus need a HC to groom that guy, which leans the search towards an Offensive HC.

Apparently as of this morning, the Bears org had not communicated anything at all to journalists about any upcoming press conference.

If it lingers past tomorrow, I'll start suspecting that they're either firing everyone on the coaching staff, or figuring out how to break the news that they're not making any changes at all.

The 18 teams that didn’t make the PO, they typically do not allow it to linger.

I’d say by end of day Wednesday they should announce a decision

They do nothing then that says they are staying with Fields.
well poles did say on sunday that their standing in the draft will allow them to collect more future ammo so that would mean they are trading down which means no caleb, so potentially another qb they have graded similarly or they go mhj and keep fields for 5th year
