This was a boring ass game

Honest question. Does this championship carry an asterisk? There is no getting around that the program did cheat this season. Regardless of who I do or don’t root for, I just can’t feel good about a team that cheated en route to a ‘ship
NO!

Honestly might be one of the more drastic drops in recent memory. I can’t think of a recent qb who crapped the bed in a big game and dropped like Penix will.

I would have much preferred to see the two beat teams in the country all year play each other - Mich and Georgia

Is it really a drop when he's probably back to where he was projected before the Semifinal?

The Bears are going to keep Eberflus when Harbaugh is literally there for the taking. This is why the franchise is a perpetual loser and joke.

Justin fields had 194 yards and 1 TD in the 2021 national title game
You do realize he was playing injuried (ribs) in that game? From a Bama fan, Fields earned a lot of respect from me for even playing in that game. Looking back that was definitely the genesis of my fandom of Justin Fields.

and hail to the cheaters.

That is going to piss me off, also.

Basically just said that their "improvement" is a façade. Talked about this 7 game stretch to hang your hat on. Against the Browns, Vikings, and Browns game together (1 TD, which started at the 1YD).

Said the defensive growth and the QBs they beat are an even further conversation. That this is the NFL and you should always strive for better.

Its in here, after a donation from DBB.

Harrison Graham (Bears Now) had an eerily similar argument on his show. Saying the Bears had 1 good win (.v. Lions), beat teams that eventually fired their head coaches, the long losing streak, the three epic losses, two beatdown losses to GB, etc. Basically said, you cannot keep Flus when Harbaugh is sitting right there.

There's seems to be a decent amount of smoke behind the idea that they're gonna pursue Harbaugh in a way that they lets them keep Eberflus if they don't get him. So I'm gonna hold on to that dream for a bit longer.

Like I said, loser franchise. Eberflus is such a prize that Harbaugh is the only upgrade out there.

I wouldn't really call Bears fans being vocal about wanting Harbaugh "smoke," tbqh.

And I'll believe that the Bears will pay a premium for a coach when I see it. Prove me wrong, Halas Hall.

The problem with bringing in Harbaugh is he will demand a significant control of roster which Poles will not be happy to oblige (Nor will most GM's)

Its hard to envision Harbaugh leaving Michigan for Bears without sizeable chunk of $ and front office power/control

posssibly, possibly not. I agree the bears won’t bring him in if that is a demand though

I think the presence of Kevin Warren presents more of a challenge to landing Harbaugh than control of the personnel decision. HC/GM usually works together to build a roster, or at least the most successful teams do, anyways, so unless Harbaugh is gung-ho about wearing the GM hat (and HC who doubles as GM rarely works), I'm not sure if control of the roster is really a deal breaker.

are the bears even requesting interviews at this point...i mean what are they doing on offensive specifically

Vrabel fired, but here we are with Eberflus still employed.

It's well-established that this organization is an absolute f***ing clownshow. Not sure why anyone is shocked that Eberflus might still have a job here next year. Hell, don't be shocked if the Bears go full dipshit and f*** up the #1OA situation.

They need to do the consensus thing that every other team in that situation would do(unless there's no obvious need for it). Draft the best QB at #1OA.

Real talk, Warren should just reach out to Harbaugh, offer to can Eberflus and Poles, tell Jim that he gets to decide who they hire at GM and what to do with the Fields and the first rounders, and smack the McCaskeys around until they put their names on a blank check. What's the worst that could happen, and how much worse could it be than eternally spinning the tires as par for the course?

I wouldn’t want Harbaugh running my roster. Coach, sure.

Also would gladly take Vrabel.
would also take Vrabel, he might be on his way to NE if they move on from Bill...also would not want Harbaugh having roster input but could see that being the requirement for him to come here over say LAC, could see him wanting JJ at 9, MHJ at 3 and JJ at 9 is the deal to get Harbaugh...to that you say thanks but no thanks
