We are going to make sports gambling a part of every single sports broadcast in America. Also, we are going to come down hard on any athlete who participates in sports gambling. f*** the NFL, honestly.
Not much different than insider trading IMO.

Things NFL players cannot gamble on:
- The National Football League

Things NFL players can gamble on:
- Every other sport in the world

Bolded is true but has a disclaimer

"Can vote on every sport in world outside of NFL as long as not on NFL time at team facility or other places of employment."

Dont bet on NFL and dont bet while in team facility, etc are not hard rules to follow

My take has always been that gambling is inherently degenerate behavior, and once you let degeneracy sink in it’s damn hard to quit it.

I know, I know, old man shouting at a cloud.

It's one thing to gamble on games you or your team are playing. If that's happening, sure, suspend them. But if they're gambling on random ass football games? Who gives a shit?

It just seems blatantly hypocritical of these leagues to suspend players for gambling on their sport, when they are inundating every f***ing broadcast with the garbage.

Who's to say they don't have inside info on games they aren't playing in? You don't think they talk to guys on other teams?

Or the guys making one percent money just don't gamble on their profession as a rule of making that kind of money. It's not hard.

There are plenty of bets that could motivate a player one way or another, even if they don’t have a specific bet on their own game, e.g. over/unders for total wins, or if player A’s team has to lose for team B to make the playoffs, and player A has a bet that team B will be a playoff team.

Was seeing they may have interest in Justin Houston. He'd be a good vet add at pass rush
That would probably be the kind of DE they'd bring in, if anybody; a vet on a 1 or 2 yr contract. I haven't fully given up hope on the current roster having a significantly improved pass rush from last year. Bears have added 5-6 new D-linemen and at least 4 new LB. This year's front 7 is a complete overhaul from last year.

I'm hyped about Dexter and hoping Dominique Robinson takes a leap

Every time I see a new post on this thread I keep hoping there is news that they signed a defensive end, I hope they do not plan going into the season with what they have
Honestly any good DE that is worth signing is all ready locked up, because that's a premium position like QB & LT. Really good and certainly great players in those positions never reach free agency.

Any Ends leftover are still out because they're average at best and Poles isn't going to sign someone just to sign them. Hate to say it but The Bears may have to roll with what they got and hope the Tackles they drafted can surprise everyone? For what it's worth Eberflus never had elite pass rushers coaching with The Colts but was still able to put good defenses on the field so maybe that magic will come out now...at least I hope?
