Really, if your goal is to win a Super Bowl you need either a tier 2 QB and a great D or a HOF QB. Tier 3/4 guys like Cousins/Goff won't do it.

The Rams had a great D, Held Brady/Belichick to 13 pts and it still wasn't enough.

I agree that seems to be the general way to do it. How do you explain the Eagles Super Bowl win though?

For 3-4 games, Joe Flacco and Nick Foles played at that level.
