Seemed like a bit much for a guy with 1 good year on stats but is a position needed to be filled

Browns used to be my 2nd favorite team just started as a joke but liked them a lot and was on their scout forum for years in the Brady Quinn days. . . Not so much these days. So much for all the laughing at Big Ben.

His contract is going to be fully guaranteed somehow, basically a first in the NFL, I believe. That'll make him suspension-proof if the NFL enforces any kind of additional punishment on him beyond the benching for a year.

They didn't send Mayfield back? So now the Browns have to trade him with no leverage?

They'll still have at least some leverage of multiple teams likely needing a QB, but they won't get a huge haul for him. Not sure if it'd be wiser to try to do it before or after Ryan gets moved. I think Indy is far more interested in Ryan, but they're an option for either and Seattle is probably open to Baker.

That's smart of Juju. Sign for one year, play with a great quarterback, get your numbers inflated because of said quarterback, then cash in next free agency.

Carson Wentz and his awful contract just went for a couple of seconds didn't it? He'll bring back something decent. Excited for Watson. Sucks for Baker though. He played through injury last year. He bought in and really wanted to be the guy here. Wish him luck.

I didn't see anyone else comment on the signing, but Al-Quadin Muhamad is a solid rotational player.
