I’m concerned about the Flores lawsuits and his handling of Tua. But if Carroll is an option, why haven’t they interviewed him yet? Firing a coach mid season gives you that luxury.
Absolute clown show organization
I share the same concerns about Flores, and also don't want a 74YO head coach. Even though I've always respected Carroll.
At this point, I'm not going to bash them for not rushing this. Go ahead and be slow and methodical with the process.
They need to get it right. Of course, they probably won't, lol. But the season isn't even over. Theyre not going to lose out on Vrabel or Carroll because they haven't interviewed them yet.
I think like most people, I want Ben Johnson here. It just feels like that's not the most likely outcome, for a couple of reasons. There's the Ryan Poles rumors, that Ben wants someone else as GM. And I wouldn't blame a hot candidate for not wanting to join an organization that has a potentially lame-duck GM.
Also Ben Johnson allegedly wants 6 x 15...do we really think the McCaskey's will pay near $100 mil for a first time coach? It's a bit hard to see that happening. These are the same owners that were squabbling with Arlington Heights/Cook County over a few million dollars a year in taxes.
