Poles is being fired on black Monday for sure
I think you have to keep him for one more coach. Caleb is his guy. The next GM shouldn't be saddled with the QB picked by the previous regime. GMs usually get two coaches. That would be making the same mistake yet again. I think Poles sucks, but now is not the time.

He gets 3 more years IMO.

So you think Poles sucks but want to waste several more years with him running things

There are plenty of guys in NFL who liked or love Williams. Finding a replacement GM who believes in him as QB is far from an issue

Are you willing to give up on Williams after one season? New regimes mean new QBs.

How many times has a GM opening been available to jump into year 2 of a QB taken 1 OA?

The Bears are a unique situation, I’d imagine.

Not sure what Vilma is talking about with regards to fixing things defensively. Bears are shooting themselves in the foot, much more than being stymied by a stout defense.

Williams not even close on deep passes most of season

I thought deep ball was his big strength?
The thing that bothers me is when he releases the passes he doesn't seem to immediately know its way off.

Like that throw to Moore was clearly too far out of his hand. Just based on how quick he passed that ball. No way anyone was that far down field that quick
