Today on Hoge and Jahns, they also said Poles only had a 4 year contract. Makes it even easier to move on now.

Also am I the only one who has absolutely zero interest with Bill? Like I don't even care if they talk to him. Zero interest.
Nope. 0 interest in Bill. What in his last 3 years demolishing Mac Jones until he's now an unplayable backup gives anyone the idea that he would be good to pair with a young QB?

Everyone is talking like its malpractice to not even have a discussion with him. The guy openly dogs Caleb every chance he gets on national TV and that doesn't even get into his tenure post Brady like you mentioned.

He would also want input in drafting and FA, and will have responsibilities for coordinators, none of which he has shown to be good at. There is no Belichick coaching tree. There was nothing in the pipelines when Mayo took over.

Hard pass. Don't become the franchise that Belichick uses for his ego trip when he tries to break the win record.

Brady leaves and wins another and Bill runs the franchise into the ground.

On the not entirely non-embarrassing loss:

This is either a team that has completely given up, in which case the GM is at fault for letting a coach stay on for long enough that the team needs to be completely reconstructed to get rid of that stink, or it's a team that's actually as bad as they looked against the 9ers, in which case that's also on the GM.

Warren said Poles was safe in the press conference, but I wonder if these last 4 games don't matter more than it looked.

Also, spare me the "they need to pass on Ben Johnson to get A LEADER" after that display on the field yesterday after Thomas Brown, supposedly a leader of men, took over.

Nah, Belichick can piss off. I agree 100%.

On another note - the more stuff comes out, you may have been on to something that something is off with Ryan Poles. Things keep squeaking out to the media. From him allegedly wanting Flus fired sooner... back after the Patriots game, or even as far back as last off-season. But not having the power to do so - as a GM should have.

Now it's coming out that he feels misled when Warren was hired, that he lost his direct connection to ownership that he was promised when he took the job.

You kind of get that feeling that Warren is becoming that meddling boss that won't let him do his job. If Poles leaves- are you going to find a top notch GM to replace him - if everyone knows all important decisions have to be rubber stamped by Warren?

They’re going to screw this up again.

They’ll wait too long to fire Poles, but let him be around to pick the next coach. Any good candidate with common sense will notice the dysfunction and pass.

They end up with a bargain bin coach and have another sub .500 season. Fire Poles a few months later.

Hire new GM who wants his own coach.

Before you know it we are on year 3 of CW and his 4th coach.

Hard to know what is true out there but there's way too much smoke around the topic for me to not believe that something is wrong.

Bears continue to be a clown show. Get ready gals and boys for bargain bin at its finest and eventually players wanting out. But don’t worry they’ll keep talking about their team history and 1985.

I want Poles fire also but I don't think it make sense to fire himunless you do it right now. I don't want simultaneous interviewing process for both GM and HC at the same time. Last time that happen the Bears ending up with Flus and Poles.

Bears currently sitting at 9 for the draft. Should be able to get an OT there.
Very little chance of moving up in the draft as well. Any of those six teams with 3 wins will pretty much have to get to 5 wins for Bears to move up. Chicago's s.o.s. will keep them at the back of any other 4 win teams.

I'd like to believe that Kiran has shown the potential to be better than B Jones and that Bears see KA as the future LT. Would allow the Bears to focus on getting the best D-lineman with their first pick.. Draft needs will become clearer after FA period.
