I have seen a couple mocks on ESPN with them drafting sanders 6OA. Why can’t that happen?
It definitely can, but that would also mean that 3 extremely QB needy teams that are nowhere near competing and needs a QB of the future in the Titans, Browns, and Giants all passed on him.

Even if one of those teams think highly enough of him that they would have drafted him if not for Ward, it's still not a great sign, IMO.

It might happen though. I'm not getting the impression that people are particularly high on Sanders.

Don't forget the Sanders camp is trying to pull an Eli Manning. Quite frankly, Sanders isn't worth the headache. I hope the NFL let him fall out of the first round.

Teams always get super desperate for a QB in the draft. Assuming Ward goes 1 OA that leaves Cleveland and the Giants as an option to take him at 2/3. I'm not sure the vibe with Cleveland but I can definitely see the Giant drafting him.

Also makes prime trade candidates for NE and Jacksonville at 4/5 for someone who wants to jump up. Given how weak of a QB class this is I could definitely see a team trading to jump ahead of the Raiders to take him. While I'm not a fan of him or his dad and the circus they'll bring with him, I'd imagine he's going to have a ton of hype built on him leading into the draft because that's just kind of what they do.

I could see a team like the Jets or Saints jumping up in the draft from 7th and 9th spots. Maybe even the Seahawks if they can offer enough other goods along with the 18th OA pick.
