Looked like Odunze got open for a potentially much bigger gain on the right side on the 13-yd pass completion to Allen during the last drive against GB:
He was getting pressured from that side. That would have been an almost impossible throw to make, and he would have needed another second to see him open it up. Which he didn't have.

Rome was also not the first read. If Williams move on from the first read on that play, when the first read gets open, and he gets sacked outside of field goal range, people would have, justifiably, asked what the hell he was doing.

It's why I hate clips like this.
All-22 has given a whole lot of people the ability to draw circles and arrows on a football field without having any idea what they're actually talking about.

It's a good thing that Rome absolutely cooks the defender on that route. Maybe if he were the first read, he has yet another long completion on that drive. Maybe the safety recovers.
