Idk, to me Trestman kicking on 2nd down is still a recent notch in my head and the worst of this style of a call. That was even like in OT right?

I don’t even know what Waldron was doing to have every single option draped in coverage every play.

Odunze, Moore, Allen, Kmet, and Swift could all be in on the same play and just blanketed in coverage. Like it’s impressive on offense he was able to scheme all of those guys to all be covered so well on the same play.

Brown vs Waldron

Offensive line looked competent if not downright good at times.

CW went from waiting forever for plays to develop to making quick decisions and accurate throws.

Johnson was actually used in the run game and well, vs barely being used at all.

I don’t think Waldron could have been worse if he actively tried.

Not uncommon knowledge but still funny

Alright, I've watched the game now (except for the snippets that for some reason were cut out of the NFL Plus replay of the game). I liked Brown's play calling. Nothing amazing, but a few receivers were actually open every now and then, and by using Williams's legs both on scrambles and zone read plays, they opened up the game much more than it has been in the past few weeks.

Of course, the defense allowing two bombs to score quick TDs against a defense that's supposed to be bend-don't-break wasn't the best showing from the defensive head coach.
Man, he's such a coward. He's so violently afraid of turning the ball over that I'm half certain that he feels good about this four game losing streak because they've only turned the ball over once in that time.

So it's the ST that got figured out by the opponent this time:
And the Bears might have gotten outfoxed on the play as well. Brooks said Bisaccia identified a weak spot in the Bears’ interior blocking and players maneuvered to take advantage of it. And coach Matt LaFleur said Bisaccia saw a block coming.

“Rich said to our team last night, ‘I will not understand if we come out of this game without a block, whether field goal or PAT,.’ So great job by our special teams coaches,” LaFleur said.

Lost in this. 5 min left. Allen drops a pass which would have made it 3rd and 2. Convert that and extend the drive. Take time off, maybe score and make it a 2 score game. Instead, Taylor puts up a shit pint. D gives up a TD drive to give them the lead. D had the chance to make the big statement and they didn’t

Sweat only played on 36 snaps. He’s not earning his contract at all. Zero pressure from the front 4 all game

I get that they weren't winning the SB this year - but you need to show progress. I'm watching other teams in other sports and how quickly some reload. You shouldn't need decades or many years to get better. Seems like all Chicago teams need monumental efforts just to be mediocre.

Poor coaching alone has cost this team multiple wins.
