Yes ... Burton was very honest with his anxiety issues. That doesn't mean the anxiety had anything to do with his groin issues. It's the idiots on the internet spreading those rumors.

The Bear's and Burton said his groin issue was anxiety related. Unfortunately, the internet idiots didn't buy out. Guess what ... the internet idiots were wrong again.

Again ... Burton missed the Eagles game due to a groin injury. That's consistent with a hernia. It's not like this came out of nowhere. Burton's groin was on the injury report. Burton said he hurt his groin at practice. In fact, Ryan Pace said Burton's MRI showed significant injury.

Bears' Trey Burton: Dealing with significant injury

The Trey Burton injury did NOT come out of nowhere. This information is not that hard to find in the internet.

Um, not of that answers any of the questions. When was the MRI 1st done? So if the Bears knew he had this they have waited far too long to address it.

What are you talking about? The MRI was done a week after the Eagles game. It's not that hard to click on the link.

I answered your questions. The Bears knew about the injury to the groin and let player decide. The Bears can't force a player to have surgery. Most people would like to avoid surgery if possible.

It's not that hard to understand. If you want to second guess Trey Burton's decision to wait and see if the injury healed on its own ... go ahead. Otherwise, you just have an agenda and just looking for something to complain about.

First, it was about anxiety and Burton. Then you moved on to the Bears should have known. Then you claim the Bears waited too long.

I told you it wasn't about anxiety. Second, the Bears confirmed Burton had a signficant groin injury a week after the season. Third, Bears can't force a player to get surgery.

It says nothing in your link about when an actual MRI was conducted. It was not done after the Eagles game, a couple of months after when he had surgery. The initial report did not give an accurate timeline.

“When the season was over, we just thought, OK, let’s pull back a little bit and let’s let him get a little bit of rest, come back and see where it’s at,” Nagy said.
“We did that, and he wasn’t feeling real comfortable with it. So ... a couple months ago, he ended up getting sports hernia surgery. No need for us to keep dragging this out. Let’s get the thing right, and we feel like we’ve done that.”

Trey Burton is not expected to practice until Bears training camp after offseason surgery for a sports hernia

Nagy's quote is conflicting with your earlier link. The anxiety thing is a well-documented issue with him and he even gave it as it an excuse initially for his groin locking up. Hernias do not heal on their own and typically own get worse with activity.

It's better that he had the surgery a couple of months ago but the problem is Burton is not reliable in a position where they have no depth.

What are you babbling about? The article was dated on January 14th, 2019. Unless Ryan Pace can see the future, the MRI was done before Jan. 14th. Come on ... it's not that hard to figure out.

Pace confirmed Burton had a significant groin injury on 1/14. Nagy only confirms the Bears or Burton tried to deal with rest. When it wasn't working, they moved to surgery. I believe it's a 6-8 week recovery ... which has him recovered before camp. Sounds rather logical. Where's the conspiracy?

Again ... check the date on this article: Bears' Trey Burton: Dealing with significant injury

If you want to play doctor, go ahead. However, don't go acting like the Bears didn't know Burton didn't have a significant groin injury after a MRI before January 14th.

I understand Burton's sudden injury in the playoffs was frustrating. Yes ... he also admitted to anxiety issues in the past. However, that doesn't mean the Bears and Burton are in cahoots to dupe the fans. The US sports audience is far to more sympathetic to mental health nowadays. There would be no reason to hide it. Not everything is a conspiracy.

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed franchise quarterback Carson Wentz to a four-year extension through the 2024 season, the team announced Thursday.
The extension is for $128 million and includes guarantees of over $107 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, and it can escalate to a max of $144 million. Wentz's total deal is now six years for $154 million and can grow to a max of $170 million.

Mitch's agent has to be lickin his chops as his organization can make a name for themselves and attract more clients once Mitch signs an extension like Wentz just did.

Bears championship window, year 2 of 3...

Wentz was on his way to the NFL MVP in 2017. Trubisky still has a long way to go. In fact, he's still behind Dak Prescott in the pecking order.

There is noise in LA that McVay could trade Goff and find another younger cheaper QB after next year.

Would be a ballsy move by McVay. Typical Miami guy...

It sure would be. Note: he just signed Gurley to a huge contract and then drafted a really good RB with the 70th pick. He's been mentored by the Shannahans. He's cut throat and supremely confident.

Nagy is more like Reid. He appears to be a really nice guy, but extremely competitive and focused.

Wentz is injury prone and already has had 2 season ending injuries. Has he even started a playoff game?

Trubisky > Wentz

Yeah .... but I'm not about to say Trubisky is better than Wentz yet. He still has a long ways to go.

You raise a good point. Don't think either can carry the team on their back. Once Wentz's new cap hit goes into effect the Eagles depth chart will take a hit. Also the report by the media as told by some in the locker room, Wentz is not a good leader as expected at the QB position.

Carson Wentz’s biggest enemy is Carson Wentz,” one source said. “He’s had his ass kissed his whole life, and sometimes acts like he’s won 10 Super Bowls, when he hasn’t played in, let alone won, a playoff game yet."

Personally, I do not think Wentz is as good as people think. He's a good QB, but Trubisky's numbers last year are well in line with Wentz has done so far. So either Wentz is overrated or Trubisky is underrated.

I think it’s a little of both.

The replicas are way better than the game jerseys, since the stripes are farther apart so it's more true to the original.

I love the helmets and socks.
