When I go see them live I just try to see if what I see on TV is close to whats really going on. I didn't expect much from the defense with the top 2 out. Carlo just seems bad. Hopefully just having an off year without Lindholm. Lohrei you can really see what the Bruins see in him, physically. He just looks like Mr All America. Issue is, his instincts are really bad. His positioning is bad as is is anticipation. You hope they can figure it out.
Swayman was all world. I have never seen zone time like the Devils had at one point period two, and he was amazing. Korpi was at the other end so I couldn't really see what was happening.
Forward wise, Poitras is here to stay. It's funny, for a smaller guy he really works his leverage and angles like a veteran getting bigger guys off the puck. His stickhandling and creativity are third to Pasta and prob Zacha. Pasta you can appreciate live just how much better he is than everyone else on this team. Has some warts obviously, but skill wise forget it. The 4th line hustled alot, and was impressed with the tenacity of Letterri..
Now the most concerning thing, and don't want to overreact due to one live showing, but Lindholm looks absolutely cooked. His faceoffs are average. He looks slow. Disinterested. Uncompetitive. Made the nice pass to Stone hands Wahlstrom, but I pray that this take is just a bad game because his contract will be an albatross. Looks like a Chris Kelly at this point, without the wheels
