Yup, exactly my takeaway as well.

Ottawa will tone things down in games 2 and 3, but it won't matter. They won't be able to produce enough offense to win, and their goalie will keep letting them down. Don't be surprised if the Leafs win the next two games, and then Ottawa switches to Forsberg in game 4.

Good game not just bc we won but they played well structured hockey. Still a few things to clean up though. Really like the way the Sens forecheck just relentless, it is a good test for our backend to get used to that if they make a deep run.

I agree with a few of you that despite winning 6-2, there is another gear or two in our boys.

I'd run Stolarz back out again, I didn't think he was overworked today. He's had a fair bit of rest and if we can get the next game the Sens are in deep trouble

Nice. Exactly. I qualified for the nationals in high school, long story there because I didn't go, but I've lost my fair share as we all have. Shake a mans hand and stand humble in the middle while his arm is raised instead of yours in front of a crowd of fans.

Respect the guys health and do your best, you don't take a cheap shot at him because your down 4 points in the match.

The league has to clean this up and I really hope they do. I've watched too many great players have their career ended by dirty stuff. Hell, we almost lost Crosby only a few years into his career.

That entire game should be a big confidence boost for everyone. Marner starts out hot, the other big guns contributing. The PP going 3/6, the PK shutting them down.
