Nice win!

I thought the Leafs might come out strong. Good show!

Stolarz was strong and the powerplay looked great. I mean they got a lot of PP practice so... That's good!

Ottawa looked like the Leafs in game 1 vs. Boston last year - more concerned with hitting anything that moves than actually winning the game.

They'll be more disciplined, less nervous and Toronto's PP isn't going to be that good, so I expect the games to get much closer than tonight.

Good start for the Leafs though, did what they had to do, got the W, no injuries, now just carry that over to game 2 and head to Ottawa up 2-0.

I don't think I ever saw a Leafs team get that good of a PP differential over the other team in over 10 years, playoffs or regular season. Im not even exaggerating. Rival fans are gonna complain but the Leafs HAVE been on the receiving end of this level of PP differential many many times, especially against Boston over the years. Cry me a f***ing river.

Leafs were excellent on the PP, average 5 on 5 and Stolarz was great. They can play even better than this.

Yup. This is the main take away.
Good win, but we can play still a lot better than this, which should be concerning for Ottawa.

I also expect Stolarz will settle the rebounds, even though he was good tonight.

I just had a good long drink on the Sens board where all their fans tears are whining about the refs.

Delicious.

GLG. Leafs in 5

Solid win. Special teams starting strong.

Gotta keep Ottawa frustrated and taking dumb penalties. That team is stupid.
Travis Greene wil need to explain what he meant by "aggressive" to his team. Thats on him for not explaining that to the knuckleheads

It's nice to be the ALPHA in the rink for a change. Initiate not retaliate. Hide the women and children. Outhit? That's fine, it took them out of their game. I'm so glad Dubas and Keefe are gone. That style of play isn't going to win post-season. Dubas thought Kampf was the answer at 3C. Now he's not even playing. I don't mean to take a shot a Kampf he's fine at 4C. BUT he's not a 3C especially in the playoffs. It's different now. It may not happen this year but it WILL happen soon enough. Damn well better I'm 67 and want to see another. GREAT GAME. GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!

Awesome game, enjoyed that thoroughly. That being said, the refs called a lot, and they won't do as much going forward. Ottawa also had the jitters; I think game 2 will be much closer, likely a one-goal game.
The game will be very intense.
Sleep mode and weak calls affected the Sens.

We needed to clean up the crease area, and at times, we were too casual coming back for the puck.
Good win though.
