Happy for the win, love this D and the Stolarz but man oh man does Jarnkrok ever do something useful on offense?? Also sorry Robertson but u are to small for the playoffs

Sigh. I guess Domi has to stay in. So, Patches in for Nickey then?

As I explained after Game 1, unless someone is injured you DO NOT make line up changes when you’re winning in the playoffs.

Fortunately, Craig Berube is a professional coach and will obviously understand this.

He's a D who's built for the postseason. Anyone hating on him this year or last year is out of their fking mind.
Last year he was amazing and actually played really well, very calm.

This year, idk if you were watching but the entire season he was playing very scared and was always a step behind. Playoffs he's a beast though

You make changes when Robertson was a liability the entire 3rd period for the 1-2 shifts he actually played. He was benched pretty much the entire 2nd half of the game.

I still want Robertson out. Especially with the matchup situation on the road. It's not like we would be losing anything. Patches can hit, dump the puck and get in the way... and hopefully take less penalties.

If Nicky stays in, 4th line minutes. Period.

We've had people heavily criticism Riellynall season. He pots his 2nd in 2 games tonight. Criticise Domi all year, he gets the OT winner. Laghton is already off the mmark.Benoit is playing fantastic hpckey. The top 6 are contributing between them.

Let's just let these guys play through it. Shift by shift. Game by game. They've definitely got something here.

I think the days of those leafs are over. It’s not going to happen. If they want to win, they have to play like this, because when you give them the keys to go full throttle offense they completely stop thinking about the defensive side of the puck. This is the most risk adverse version of the leafs and it feels good not to be on the receiving end of some unnecessary back breaking goal.

I look at Edmonton last night as a prime example of why playing that was will never lead to success. Edmonton storms back to tie the game last night but they start doing fancy crap in the offensive zone in the last minutes on an extended shift by McDavid and Draisaitl and they give up a horrible goal on a bad give away.

Risk adverse is a good way to put it.
Just pushing the puck north, chipping it in, not trying as many dangerous passes in the offensive zone and icing it wherever if under duress.
It's basically like we used to beat ourselves too often and that's not happening as much.
Not as exciting but effective at this time of year.

I think getting Patches in the lineup for Robertson might be a good idea. Love his hustle but he is getting beat on most board battles. Plus you can always go back to him and know he will score in the next game!

The problem is we dont' have puck moving defencemen who's going to join into the rush
So dump in and chase is our best option

Especially against fast teams

That is all.

I'm with you. Just waiting for a 30 shot performance and M&M & Willy to really dominate 5v5. Imo, Willy is better than any Sen but I haven't seen it yet. M&M should be dominating the offensive zone but again I haven't seen it yet.
They're playing heavy 1on1 d. They have no space.

Patches will be good for like 3-4 games before he shatters again. I don't dislike his game, but for a season that was supposed to be a health redemption year, he's played 37 games and been injured 3 or 4 separate times. If he's going to play I'd rather in a later round or at least more important game.

Benoit stole the puck. Made the pass. Blocked the goalie. Wow.
You know he felt great after the miscue reversal behind his net that allowed the tying goal. Leafs had enough opportunities in the First and Third to win this game but their 2nd period wasn't very good. They need to focus on trying to win the next two, try and make it as easy as possible. The killeri nstinct needs to arrive now, dont make this series more difficult than it has to be

Ya that is weird. Can someone explain why they are clearly rooting for the sens. Normally I don’t care, but it’s pretty biased.

The leafs make them money in ratings. They are freaking owned by rogers. Why?
The more games it goes each series the more revenue they generate. Rogers loves the Leafs advancing but they would hate a sweep! They lose 3 possible money pots in ad revenue. The best outcome for Rogers is maxing out every Leafs series and of course on air talent wants it because the longer it goes the more secure their job is.
